If anything Eriksen should have closed down without turning his back.
I really like Handanovic and I respect what he’s done for us the entire time he’s been here. But I’m going to say he isn’t on my all time top Inter GKs of all time for the only reason that he has the worst record vs our biggest rivals juBe. I think no other big keeper in the last 40-50 years who played several seasons for us has conceded more goals in Derby D’Italia than he did. This is my only problem with him maybe besides his infamous statue pose trademark.
LGI he would be named and I wouldn’t have a problem with it but for me and on our all time standards he’s not even close the other greats who preceded him (Julio, Toldo, Pagliuca, Zenga, Sarti, Bordon, Buffon..)
Certainly hope he stays for 2-3 more years with us but not as a lone starter, hoping we’d get better luck choosing the next GK.
This dude has been with us through thick and thin. Been here ever since our decline and darkest days and saw us all the way through to the end. LGI material without a doubt.
The weird part is that he was at his best when we were at our worst, and now in his decline we reached our peak. It's sad that we never synced up, but at least we got a scudetto out of it.
Wtf are you guys on about? If anyone here thinks we should start with him next season for the sole reason that he was our best player during our banter era is nuts. He’s flat out not been good enough and is in clear decline, he will be even worse next year than this year. If we want to move forward we need get a new keeper in and at least interchange the 2 of them
I wouldn't say Handa is in the very highest category of Goalkeepers I've seen, but in the level just below it (still elite and for a very long time).
Today is his 329 league game with Inter. He is the goalkeeper with the most league appearances with Inter.
First breaks a record and then lifts a trofhy. Thats a pretty good day.
