I really want to hear Mancini's reasoning for preferring Acerbi over Bastoni this summer.
He probably thinks Acerbi is a better pure defender. With Bonucci on the pitch maybe he doesn’t want another ball-playing CB.

Sure but based on how Italy change to a back 3 while in possession and how often Acerbi pushes up you would have to assume that Bastoni is better at the role overall.

Listening with my headphones is a pain. One of the commentators keeps breathing really hard and making uncomfortable noises lol.
Kinda like watching Japanese porn with a very high pitching female voice?

I don't mind starting Acerbi against these slow-moving teams like Austria. There are limited opportunities to expose him. However, if we have to start him against Belgium or France then the pace of Lukaku, Mbappe, and Griezmann will destroy this backline.

Italy's main problem now is that Insigne and Berardi are kinda neutralized. Spinazzola is way wide whenever he's high up and I don't recall Di Lorenzo advancing to help Berardi at all. Barella by himself is always surrounded by 1-2 defenders so he cannot combine with Berardi there.

I keep preferring Belotti to Immobile and I am yet to see a reason why he doesn't start over him. Immobile has his moments, but he needs a lot of chances to score it seems and Italy won't be able to create as many as needed. The 3+2 midfielders need to shoot a lot more from distance.

When is Barella gonna learn that going to the referee's face and bitching about his decision is not gonna change a damn thing?

The Azzurri, should be thinking about some subs i.e. Chiesa, Belotti.

Italy not looking composed in this 2nd half. Ref being one sided like this isn't helping either.
