TBH I think a lot of people here will turn it down, if their current salary is already 12M.

Also I understand some people believe they can quantify all values in the unit of some form of money, but I don't truly believe everything can be converted into monetary value or it is even transferable in the first place.
Extreme examples are how much are you willing to give up you and your family's life? Or how much will you take to amputate all your limps and remove of your eyes.
In some cases the answer can even be 0 dollars, cause some people kill their family and suicide, but if you are in a decent condition, then how much?

Also political stability and safety issues.

This is a complicated subject, but to simplified to:

nah, to be fair, for a lot of people awards makes sense. Lukaku's unlikely to ever be in a team where he'll win big again.
