I don't know. He still scores goals. They won't overspend on him as Roma won't trigger the option most probably, and Chelsea shall reduce more their asking price. As an EPL team, Newcastle don't care about his salary and they can easily afford it. He will provide good depth to their attack.

I feel like this would be a smart move for newcastle as long as they can convince him that he has no guarantee for a starting spot. Adds depth to the squad and versatility to their attack and puts pressure on their Strikers.
