Yep, but I was talking on pitch contribution. Conte was definitely the main cog overall.
Considering how that season went, I think getting eliminated from the CL and finally realizing that Perisic and Eriksen are obviously better players to start than Young and Gagliardini, had more to do with our Scudetto than anyone exclusively leading us to the Scudetto.

Latest is that Lord Hexagon wants to sign Lukaka regardless of the Vlahovic transfer (still struggling with injuries). Watch juBentus sign him on a loan!

Isn't that the exact reason we gave up on him?

Fuck'em let them have each other.

Come on, the main reason Inter management was upset was due to the implications it was having on the fee and terms of sale. By entertaining Juve’s offer he was creating competition and raising Chelsea’s bargaining expectations.

This was probably not taken well because among other things, he had an underwhelming season, and he owed Inter one.

By counter offering Juve’s lowball offers you ensure they spend the required 40 Million instead of the loan with option.

I'm glad we didn't spend the huge money (Transfer fee + wages) on him, but I do wonder what he was thinking at the time. Not neccessarily about not taking our offer as players change their mind all the time, but ignoring calls from people that it seemed he was more than teammates with isn't understandable. He also went to Lautaro's wedding, I believe, so I think they were very close.

Lukaku always seemed very fake in terms of praising whichever club he was currently in, but this whole saga was a whole new level.

Can only thank the big man. He helped us to finish top 4 at the table last season when I was thinking this task is unrealistic. And Lukaku save us from himself and from the stupidity of our management who were so obsessed to have him like there are no any decent strikers around.

Here is the same thought some people put on the players like Vidal and Naingolann also to regard them as good deals or at least not bad deals for us: they only pick few matches/goals from them and make a conclusion that they "helped us" achieve our goals. But here is the bigger picture that they exclude: these players were quite a non factor in a larger part of season. If they actually did their job properly, we weren't struggling so much to achieve what we did at the end.

If we're talking about someone who is among the lowest earners and hardly anyone consider them among the best players in the squad, you wouldn't put too much expectations on them. But if you're among the highest earners in the squad and the club paid a considerable amount of money to get you here, then having a few goals and good matches throughout the season is by no means enough. Lukaku's second spell here was a failure. His injuries, poor form, the money we paid for him and missing out on Dybala because of him hurt us way more than a few decisive moments he had at the end of season. There is no logical way to sugarcoat this.

Agree on this. It was a big mistake to choose Kaku over Dybala. I'm glad that Romelu regained his form and was pretty useful in the end of the season.

Yeah, if you're going this way, Nainggolan was far more vital in reaching top 4 that season than Lukaku was last season.

"Lukaku has made up his mind and is fully committed to the idea of playing for Juventus. He is no longer considering any other club as an options.

Juventus approached Lukaku with an offer to move to Turin while Inter Milan was working on a potential move to bring him back to Milan. This approach reportedly annoyed Inter, but Lukaku’s heart is set on joining Juventus.

Juventus’s plan is to sign Lukaku after they have sold Dusan Vlahovic, but as of now, the Serbian striker remains with his current club.

Lukaku has ruled out a return to Inter and also has no interest in moving to Saudi Arabia at this stage of his career, leaving his future in an uncertain position. Time is running out for him to secure a new club before the new season begins.

Despite the approaching new season, Lukaku remains steadfast in his desire to play for Juventus. He has conveyed to Chelsea that he will not entertain negotiations with any other club except the Bianconeri. "

Scum.

The guy came to Inter, spent 7-8 months contributing f*ck all, most at the club supported him and never questionned him. Waited patiently for his return from injury and even hyped him up for next season. And when he is seemingly fit again, he tells Inter to go f*ck themselves and negotiates with Juventus.

This should be a lesson for the management to A. not put all their eggs in the same basket when it comes to the mercato, B. stop f*cking trusting these verbal agreements and beginning to sign actual contracts ffs.
Then again you see that they did Dybala dirty with a verbal agreement they ended up breaking....

I don't even recognize this guy anymore. Or better yet, my previous delusions about him are in stark contrast to my current delusions.
