Isn't the point more like how hard it is to really win the CL? How they've been trying it for so long, they've been at final before and so on. And even now, against an underdog opponent it came down to opponent striker missing a free header at 3 meters which (partly) allowed them to finally win.

That miss was the one that "sealed" the win for them. Even as a self proclaim fan boy you can't deny that it was the biggest miss of the game that could have changed the outcome of the game.
