Wasn't even a good game. We need new players up front and Lukaku should leave regardless what happens this season.

1 good game and some of yall back on his bandwagon lol
Yes it s cause of one good game that we think that not cause he s 29 and we dont think he s finished.....
I ve pretty much stated all year that t should al come down to price....
I for one dont think it would be smart to pass up the opportunity if we could pick em up on a bargain
Thats really all it comes down to...
How i see it we re looking at a player that scored 121 in 278 PL games and 52 in 91 serie a games and he is still 29....... If we can get such a player on the cheap we should consider it....
Our only options that possibly could be cheaper are unproven second tire young players or old guys like Dzeko.
Also ofcourse in order for us to do ths lukaku would need to show 100% commitment and he cannot allow himselfe to show up unfit when the pre season starts.

You are a finance guy, tell me with a straight face that he's willing to cut his current salary by half and if Chelsea is willing to cut their huge losses?

Tbh, wasn't thinking about you when writing that comment, at least you and Kurt have been consistently rooting for him.

personal view, its kind of hard to say. Chelsea need to reduce their amortisation bill BADLY to stay compliant with FFP etc (look at their 8 year contracts, ffs). Offloading any sort of cost is probably a good thing for them to do right now. With Lukaku, he's still eligible for growth decree, and he's probably at an age where he wants to have a good successful end of career rather than maximum salary. I dunno, pure speculation. He'll make more money with 4 good seasons in italy, than 2-3 years of being loaned out to fuck by Chelsea then no one wanting him (like James/Isco)

With Chelsea's current ownership, I can *see a world* where they take a write down on him this summer just to offload him, but that's only speculative rather than guaranteed. You could also easily see, for example, sell us Onana cheap-ish, we'll take a big write down on Lukaku, but Inter dont need to take a big amortisation cost on Lukaku (for example).

First of i dont think he has to cut salary in half i care about total cost per year of keeping him... Secondly i think he would still be under the growth decree next season so at the very least he has that going for him...

Also I dont know i think it all depends on how much he wants to stay and how many other teams are interested thats why i m saying it all depends on price...
Currently he costs us 20 per season i think if we can get that down to say 15-12 it would be somewhat reasonable for our second striker...
As again unless we manage to pull a big free agent we ll probably end up spending something in that region.. Like that would correspond to a +/- 30 mio striker on a 5 year deal with +/- 3 mio wages ( cheaper than correa), my point is for me it s hard to think of players we could realistically get for that price that are better than Rom (assuming he regains his form). As mentioned before thuram is the only one that comes to mind and i m not sold on him being big club material.

From chelsea's view man they are kind of fucked if lukaku does not want to play for them any more, and if no offers come in which is hard to imagine after the season he had... On top of that probably only EPL teams would be intrested and willing to spend and there is still the question of wether or not lukaku would even accept mid table EPL teams. If chelsea cant get rid of him it will cost them something around 40 mios per season... some 22 of amortization plus 18 in salary....
Seeing as his Book value should be around 70 i could see them takae a 40 to 50 mio hit this summer in order to get rid of that yearly cost..
And thats where we come in...
Again i m not saying we must do this i just think we are not in a position where we can say no to a possible bargain and if all the stars align we might have one in lukaku....

Thats it thats all...

Give it one game and he will sh*t the bed again and all the King's worshippers will disappear (again).

That was a good 40 minutes against Empoli so at least there's that. If he can make himself useful from now on, it will be a positive for Inter.
Doesn't change that he needs to go and never come back.

Still fucking up attacks and also the team is blueballing him (Dumfries not passing to him at the right moment, Mhkitaryan fucking up the attack, Gosens not knowing how to cross,...)

Seeing how shit Juve was, we could've won by a larger margin if we only knew how and when to release the last pass

he should not be on the field with Correa... Actually, he should only be on the field with Lautaro.

He's on 12m salary right now with growth decree. So if you want him to be "12-15" without cutting his salary, Chelsea would have to give him away for free or at 3m a year. Assuming a 4 year contract(wed be stupid to give him a 4 year contract), that's 12m. 0 chanxe chelsea is letting him go for that low

I don't seeany scenario where bringing him back is a good option. The only way we'd get any kind of deal is if he keeps sucking as he does right now and it'd be stupid to keep him with his current form.

Didn't watch the first half but I thought Lautaro did good. He is the one that really is kinda in form right now.

I wish our players trusted eachother a bit more, I'm laughing like a maniac when we fuck up another 4 vs 3 attack.

Lukaku is too much of a player who needs everything set up for him on a platter. He isn't fighting, making stuff by himself. Conditions needs to be perfect for him to succeed. Specially as in the end, he isn't that clinical finisher even.

I just don't want this kind of player to play for Inter and being one of our best paid players, let alone the best paid.

Lautaro did good compared to our other strikers and he wasn't as poor as his worse days, but he still made several wrong decisions on the final third which ruined the opportunities. For what he earns and how people see him as our best striker his contribution was poor.
