Instead of screaming at his teammates when it's improssible to receive the ball, he should wake the fuck up. 1 goal in the last 6 league games. Terrible.

Other than that one run that Hakimi fucked up and his usual shouting at players to motivate them, no he did not.

You got that the other way around. Lukaku was the fuck up in that case. The recipient always makes or breaks the pass. That was terrible movement and even worse positioning to make a parallel pass possible. And that makes the execution, which granted wasn't the greatest, even worse than it is.

Speaking of which, here's a counter attack where Hakimi ends up with the ball. Acres of space for Lukaku to get into a favorable position by evading only one defender...

hakimi1.png

Ermm, nope. Still attached to the defender despite a counter.... Just pay attention to the details of how many Udinese players are now in the picture.

hakimi2.png

But guess what, he's managed to sandwich himself between two defenders now that Hakimi has entered into a very dangerous position and he demands the ball.. at his feet... at the penalty spot... without really evading his defender who will simply move towards the ball while he'd be waiting for it, in case the pass was possible, rendering it a non-chance.

Also notice how the other Inter player makes a diagonal run which sets him completely free!! Our main striker cannot even dream of that  And it is freaking Sensi, someone who grew up as a regista!

hakimi3.png

Aaaaand he still calls for the ball while Hakimi did the only thing he could there since he was unsupported. He took the shoot. And then we hear yet another "Hakimiiiiii" scream..

There's no way this person can be tolerated by everyone else if Conte isn't there to "protect" his locker room status. He keeps yelling at Lautaro, Alexis, Hakimi, Barella and all these guys. I've only seen him shut up when he tried to pull that shit towards Vidal who pretty much gave him the crazy eyes.

Leaving this here as well...

Please find that video and share it with us, maybe then you will see how much Lukaku limited Hakimi's options there.

Actually found it:

4:53

Lukaku starts a run to the correct lane and then... puff. He runs in a straight line towards the goalkeeper  Come on man! The attacker has to keep taking a left leaning run there because there's a freaking defender in the way of a straight line pass... You see that Lukaku even decelerates when he sees Hakimi is ready to give him a pass instead of pouncing in!

And I repeat, the pass wasn't very good, but the attacker really fucked up the run there!

The problem with Lautaro here is that he'd make the correct run, probably hit the ball but miss and then you'd all be blaming Lautaro for "fucking up an easy chance" when in fact it is obvious that it requires some skill to get there.

The way Lukaku moved the chances of getting him the ball where he wanted it, at his feet, were minimal! You can even see from Hakimi's reaction that he doesn't feel the pass was that awful and he's pissed at Lukaku for fucking it up. He's not a person who's not exhibited body language that shows he's pissed at himself. You can see this detail by noticing when Hakimi reacts to the missed opportunity, had it been a fuck up from his part he'd be pissed right away, not after Lukaku was far off the ball. This is a clear situation where the striker is at fault.

And for more illustration:

lukaku1.png

Blue area is where the striker should have ended up before the pass was taken.

And here where he should have been after the pass was released:
lukaku2.png

This is basic shit you teach 11 year olds at football academies...

Chances to meet the ball are obviously much higher in the correct lane situation. The pass wasn't the best but there was a defender in front, the problem was the lack of swerve not the weight or direction. That would have made it difficult for a non-left footed striker to meet it, but guess what. Lukaku is left footed!

Lukaku has shit movement compared to Icardi who sets the highest standard in this spec. Meh, you gain some you lose some.

Was he the one who shouted at Skriniar in defense for clearing the ball to the corner instead of letting it out anyway?

Nope, it was Barella. It was funny though watching barella and lukaku bitching at each other.

Yeah that Lukaku run was total garbage. There are maybe three players in the world that can lay that up perfectly and Hakimi definitely isn't one of them. Brehme drew it out, it's just poor fundamentals in moments that could win us games. He can score goals, dominate, inspire, but there are times where he looks completely incapable.

I see. Barella also shouted at Lautaro when he missed that chance against Juve, but it was understandable reaction.

However, where’s Icardi when you need him... he would be deadly with Hakimi.

I don't justify Lukaku but Hakimi's pass was awful either.

That Hakimi shot chance was so infuriating. Like, what the fuck Lukaku expects his team mates to do? Fire the ball through the defenders' legs to him? And this is complete normal, he does this every fucking match, every fucking match.

His movement inside the box is appalling. He just runs there, without worry of the defenders and then somehow expects that the ballcarrier magically delivers the ball to his feet, wherever he decides to run.

I don't justify Lukaku but Hakimi's pass was awful either.

It was really not awful. It wasn't great, but it would have connected if the striker, Lukaku, would have run diagonally at least a bit. Hakimi had to bend it to avoid the defender. It was a bit overpowered for sure, but Lukaku made it so hard for him to connect the pass.

If I were Lukaku I would look back at my performances in big games and then proceed to shut the fuck up forever. I said back in december that this coddling of Lukaku was nonsense. Someone is bound to have enough one of these days

Oh well, just one more thing for Conte to work together with Lukaku in training sessions.

He doesn’t think, he’s just going through the motions. The Perisic sub was equally useless. I could understand if he was bringing on Perisic for width, by leaving Young on, and taking off a center back for Perisic, there was no point to any of the subs except Sensi.

I just want this nightmare to be over.

It was too overpowered. See that Hakimi had enough space to place the ball correctly and he did it but it was too strong. If the pass was a bit softer, Lukaku would have catched it. It's another matter where he would have blasted the ball.
