Just looked at the Atalanta - Roma highlight, it seems Roma is having a very shaky defense. Atalanta had plenty chances and capitalized none. Kolarov goal was basically a smart free kick. Atalanta even had more % of ball possession.
We can win this if we don't fall into self-complacency and lose concentration (like we did today in the second half). Gag and Vecino are both needed for a muscle balance, Super Mario is a must for this game.

Anyone else looked at the roma- Atalanta game,, Both teams wasted tonnes of chances to score especially atalanta. But Manolas and J.Jesus was fucking solid at the back,,kinda regretting us selling him but he plays better in a back 3. Also did anyone else notice after the 65th minute how sluggish naingolan was running,,i think he does not have the speed he had before but his footwork and passing is still there....I could be wrong about him losing speed as its early days.

Might be good that we will face Roma so early. Also Spalletti who is very familiar with Roma players. A win would be a massive achievement. 6 points from Fio and Roma game... But let's not get ahead of ourselves.

They were the worse team against Atalanta and did not look anything like Roma from last season.
Vecino looked massive against Fiorentina and probably deserves his second start ahead of Gags. Valero is important to maintain our tempo and dominate the midfield. Joao Mario needs to start. Would be disrespectful to ignore him after the last match. I'm afraid the midfield will be too thin, though. Maybe throw Gagliardini in the second half to shore up the midfield, after, hopefully, leading the game.

I missed the first half of last game, and my stream for the second half was awful (stopped just before the goal ffs). But other than that one rocket from Babacar I wanna say? I never felt like we were in any real danger. I know we looked a lil sluggish in the second half but we still had control imo. Which makes me confident for Roma, 2-3 for us this game me thinks.

Fio hit the post just before Perisic goal, and Handa with his trademark ball staring made me pretty nervous there.

Trademark ball staring, I think Handa is of the school of though that diving should be the last resort and in general a goaler should stay on his feet. Also, since the box full of players there was no way Handa could see the ball coming.
