I like him, he was great for our NT in those couples of games he played. This summer newspaper wrote he was on radar for Barcelona and some other EPL clubs (i think Chelsea or City) but nothing happend. Didnt watch many games in Stuttagart but like Kostic he made a bunch of assists 2 seasons ago.

I totally missed this… But if we get Bakker as a Gosens replacement i will lose my shit. I followed him closely, because he’s Dutch, and he is bad. Really bad. Evenmore as a wingback i can think. Wasn’t good enough for Ajax, so they let him go, and PSG picked him up (because of Raiola). Also nothing special at Leverkusen. If you think Denzel has a bad technique, you’re up to something with Bakker haha.

I sincerely hope so. Good pressure test on Marotta. A responsible club really shouldn't sell what, in theory, should be a sure starter without a backup plan in place.

You guys should know full well this is Zhang forcing a player sale, not management deciding hey now it's a good time to sell a player.

I could analyze it's Zhang telling to management okay we need to sell someone and we have to do it now. There's Skriniar, maybe there was Dumfries but I'd guess with the lack of rumors much more about that, he wasn't interested moving anywhere (maybe even whole summer). Inzaghi definitely wanted to block Skriniar and Dumfries sales. Gosens is a fit for the sale purposes as apparently he was indeed pretty okay moving (playing time as proposed as one motivator earlier in this thread) with that.

Dunno what his cost was eventually but I think it was over 20m€, there were quite a lot of conflicting reports over that. This alleged 2m+28m price is quite good given he hasn't shown much at Inter, although he hasn't got hardly any games at Inter either.
