worst coach on earth, in my opinion.
Always has been. I puke a little in my mouth everytime I see him, or hear his name

He has a fault for yesterday's loss. He should have substituted Carrizo before penalties. I think Eder could have held to the end of the match. Handana is godmaster of the penalties and his presence under the bars would have been a additional boost for the whole team.

i wouldnt blame mancini too much for this. eder couldnt have continued, i dont blame him for not being a total fucking retard risking the game with 9 men. this isnt fucking FIFA. you could argue that he shouldve played handa from the beginning, but its still understandable to give him a rest and keep carrizo happy with a meaningless start. and probability of juve failing to score more than inter in PKs is automatically higher with handa, but even so our chances are automatically lower with palacio's miss.

i think the bigger fault is in conceding 3 in the first leg. or how badly set up we are in general. a better organized inter side would have scored more than 3 yesterday (although allegri would also probably react before things go too out of hand).

what a generic comment. there are fans that are too hard on the manager in other clubs, so the manager isn't to blame at inter and should get credit for the good things? how are those two conclusions rlated? we should be fair but that doesnt have anything to do with whether or not it is fair to say that mancini is very responsible for this season being a failure, whether or not he should receive most of the credit for the good, and whether or not the good that he gives comes close to justifying the bad.

I never said that the manager is never to blame. You misunderstood. What I'm trying to say is that FIF is often unnecessarily hard on the coach instead of looking at the effort the players put in. We had it with Strama, Ranieri, Mazzarri and now Mancini. But when things go well the emphasis is often on how beastly X-Y CB paring is or how good Z was on the wing etc and hardly would you find "oh and kudos to the coach he had a solid gameplan". Similar to when a defender has a good game and hardly gets credit, but one mistake and people don't forget for weeks.

But certainly the blame for the season has to be shared between Mancini, the players and Thohir.

I wouldn't get too excited. Mancini played a tactical sound game against Roma as well this season and then went back to the old ways.
Ehh.. not really compareable. Handa saved our asses VS. Roma, we barely had any chances against them. I would say that was more of a lucky win/ Handa godmode more than anything.

However, yeah Mancini and the players deserves credit for the comeback.

Game plan is non existent, especially with Mancini.

There were a lot of saluting to Strama's Masterclass against Juve though.

Ranieri's stock has never been higher. Mancini should be Ranieri's alternative for the NT :eek:kay:

If Mancini will stay one more season in here then we are screwed. Obviously he doesnt know what he wants. We need someone who has a clear vision on his objective and someone who can lead us to success.

Honestly I have no idea who would have been the perfect choice for this club.

I don't get where people are coming from when thinking that Mancini taking the NT job is only one sided, meaning that if the FA want him he'll immediately jump on it. Did he ever state that he'd like to try it one day? Hinted at it? Ran naked (with only a scarf) one night intoxicated screaming he's fabulous and perfect to lead this shit Italian team?

I'm genuinely asking because I don't think I've ever read or heard him mention something about it, he might've breezed through it one time like every other manager would and said it'll be an honour but when I think about it, a coach of his characteristics would suck balls managing at knock out format tournaments, plus the pool of which he chooses his players from is vastly smaller and not having the luxury of spending an adequate time with the - club owned - players in training and what not, then again that probably is a good thing if they are to achieve anything of note.

I believe he said he would like the experience, and I think that was before these rumours began to appear.

He was fired at ManCity and did a shitty job at Galata. His reputation was already running on fumes, even before he immediately accepted Inter's offer, even though they had fired him once already. He was desperate. If he fails here his rep will sink even further, so, yeah, I think if he fails at Inter or starts feeling threatened, it's more plausible that he will gladly accept whatever FIGC offers him, because by then he will not have many top options, if any, and his last good season will have been 4 or 5 years ago.
