He was heavily involved in suffocating our chances. Every time he got the ball, he had acres of space to give the ball to another player in a great position, he was never able to do so. I guess he just needs a goal or two to get his confidence going.

Yeah, usually he will try to beat his marker and then shoot or cross, he doesn't anymore, I guess it's just down to his self confidence.

He is not anywhere near where he should be, but I think it's strange that some here fail to see the obvious improvement compared to recent matches.

He looked better with the ball, but his passing and crossing where really poor.

Also, he keeps the ball for waaaay to long, completely wasting any decent counter attacking chance because he allows their defenders to come back because he wont make the easy/quick pass.

Jose did mention his view on Quaresma holding the ball.

"You say that Quaresma keeps too much possession," said Mourinho. "I was expecting you to tell me how many fouls he suffered. He's a creative player and I will never tell him to change his style of play. Perhaps you prefer a player who is 100% efficient, who makes passes of two metres. Adriano played wide on the wing to open up the Bologna defence and create spaces for Muntari and Vieira."

No he wasnt. Most pure wingers really arent that creative, RQ included.

Running down the wing making one poor trivela cross/shot after another has nothing to do with being creative.

I like Quaresma and I hope that he will perform well soon but comparing him to Ronaldo is ridiculous, I mean even if Ronaldo was shit in his first season and then became great it doesn't mean that the same is going to happen with Quaresma!

What has C.Ronaldo got to do with Quaresma? Cristiano was a young boy back then. Quaresma isn't actually so young anymore so that he could be titled as hot prospect, like C.Ronaldo was at that time.

Quaresma is just a pure winger. He needs to learn to do things right and quick and he needs to do them while running fast with the ball. Then he becomes useful, at the moment he's pretty much useless.

Well it's smart from you to say this...but it's SMARTER to say that it also CAN happen with Quaresma or any other player that didn't adapt in his 1st season !!!!
I didn't say Quaresma WILL succeed like Ronaldo...I said there is a PROBABILITY that he may adapt more by time....

RQ not creative  I'm hoping that you define 'creative' as a Seedorf/Riquleme/Zidane type of player who sees the field as a whole and 'creates' offensive plays. If not then you're mistaken. RQ takes his man on and drags defenders away. If he beats them he's in on goal. If not he can pass/ cross to a free team mate. What's not creative about that.

Also wtf? "Most pure wingers aren't creative" First of all there's hardly a "pure" anything these days unless you're a goalkeeper. Wingers often overlap into striking roles. Wing-backs also attack a lot so to use the term "pure winger" is ambigious at best.
Anyway, I guess Robben, Nani, CR7, RQ, Ribery, Simao, Figo, Giggs, Malouda
etc aren't creative :dielaugh:

Relevance?

Ronaldo was just an 18 year old kid when he moved to United and today he is probably the best player in the world.

Quaresma is now 25 and has never shown consistency or ability to compete at the highest level. Quaresma is supposed to be in his prime right now.

Its not comparable in any way.

Comparing CR7 at 18 to RQ?? Nice.

Any new ways to defend RQ?

Actually you didn't say anything before, you have just asked a question.

And yeah I do agree with you that anything can happen but I won't base my opinion on such assumptions. As I said before I do like the player and I think he will be a success because he is showing some improvements lately.

Not that there is any reason defending myself to a fool that has been proven wrong 250 times here before, but out of those you mentioned - robben, RQ, Malouda and simao can hardly be considered creative players. Simply running up and down the flanks making crosses doesnt make you creative and thats all these players do.

And by the way, arent there any milan boards around for you to enjoy yourself on? It seems pretty pathetic that you spend so much of your day on a rival board really.

Ok may i know what do u wish exactly ? crucify Quaresma because he played bad some 4 matches IN THE BEGINNING OF THE SEASON while the WHOLE TEAM isn't convincing AT ALL and while he DIDN'T GET A MINUTE OF PRE-SEASON...

That's what you wish ???

haha Fifa 09 says Queresma is a 85 :) lets hope its true and he is the best player on our team.... the guy still has time he has had no preseason with us and prob isnt fully fit

but HE NEEDS TO FING pass the ball, I know he wants to win over fans by doing what he did at Porto but all I care about is us winning and we could have won by 3-4 more if he had just shot or passed... I dont care if a player misses a shot at goal but at least take one when ur alone with a goalie
