Mancini: are we likely to see Patrick Vieira on the pitch tomorrow?
"Vieira is in quite good condition and he might play. I'm not sure if he'll play the whole game because he still doesn't have ninety minutes in his legs, but I think he can play a portion of the game. Will he play from the first minute? We have to see, it could be useful for him to come on when the others are a bit more tired. The most important thing is that he has done everything with the squad for the last ten days and is feeling good."

Inter have five important matches in the next two weeks. Could Zlatan Ibrahimovic rest tomorrow?
"We'll see. We'll have a good look at the internationals today and tomorrow. Ibra came back last night and we'll look at him today. The Brazilians landed this morning and the Argentines were back yesterday morning. We're back together for the first time and we have to look at their physical conditions and see if they're tired after all the travelling. We'll all leave together (for Reggio Calabria) and then we will decide, but some players will definitely rest."

Will Nicolas Burdisso leave with the squad later this afternoon?
"No. We'll leave him behind to rest. He took a very hard blow to the head so we prefer for him to stay behind."

Will you be thinking about the Moscow game when you choose your team to face Reggina?
"No. We face one of the hardest weeks we could have faced after the break. We go to Reggio Calabria, Moscow and Palermo. That's three games in seven days, and there are many things to consider. It will be important to start well so we'll have to play a great match against Reggina. And this won't be easy."

I hope the local Serie A provider station burns.

That's the second straight time I have to avoid the internet because they show Saturday games on Sunday mornings, I hope they burn.

Anyway, Vieira is a must for this game, if he can handle playing a full game with France after being back from a long lay-off, he should do it for us too, I think playing him in Russia is kind of risky.

Can't wait to see Vieira in action, hes very important for us and god bless him for no more injuries. It is also a stiff competition on who will start for our strikers, Adri should be a must since he seems to be putting hard work and doing good thing. Not to mention that he is not registered for CL and therefore cant play in Russia

Ficcadenti stands up to Inter
Saturday 20 October, 2007
Reggina are the ultimate underdogs when they face leaders Inter this evening, especially as Nicola Amoruso is injured, but Massimo Ficcadenti assures they won’t be negative.

Star striker Amoruso has not recovered from a muscular problem in time for the Stadio Granillo encounter, a heavy blow as he has so far scored three of their total five Serie A goals this season.

“We will try to evaluate the condition of everyone before kick-off and put out the best Reggina side available,” commented Coach Ficcadenti, who is still looking for his first top flight victory.

“Inter are a very difficult opponent, but at the same time very stimulating for us. I have already stated several times that they are the prime candidates for the title considering the quality of their squad.

“On paper out chances are incredibly slim, but we will not sit back and watch Inter, we do not intend to be passive,” continued Ficcadenti.

“With concentration, aggression and a little bit of luck, we could contrast a tough team. If we leave them time to think, they could hurt us at any time.”

As far as the tactician is concerned, the crowd at the Stadio Granillo can be decisive in this tie.

“The support and the confidence of our fans in games like these can only help a young team.”

With Amoruso sidelined and Francesco Modesto suspended, it looks as if Dane Mike Tullberg will get the nod to partner Ciccio Cozza upfront.

Reggina have not scored in this fixture since 2002, but two of the last three Serie A editions ended goalless, so Inter are not automatically assured victory in Calabria.

Looking at all assumptions made by Mancio, my lineup would be:

--------------------JC------------------

---Maicon---Cordoba---Samuel----Maxwell-

---Figo-----Zanetti----Chuchu----Cesar----

--------------Crespo---Adri----------------

Vieira won't play from the start cause he isn't fit enough though he could play from the start but then you would have to remove Cesar which is unthinkable right now lol, hopefully he'll come on for Figo in the second half when the result is safe..............Ibra would probably be rested but don't know WTF I get the feeling that Mancio would certainly play Ibra.

--------------------Julio Cesar---------------------
Maicon-------Cordoba-------Chivu----------Maxwell
Zanetti---------------Vieira------------------Cesar
----------------------Solari-----------------------
-----------------Cruz------Adriano----------------

This is what i would like to see. We need some important players for Tuesday, so we must give rest and not take risk with Samuel, Stankovic, Figo and Ibra. Now Solari could play some, he always prove himself good when he plays. Cruz deserve to play too, same as Adriano.

My money to be on Cesar with Viera, Cambi and JZ in the 3 midfield positions.

Or maybe we wud see the trident - Adri-Ibra-Crespo :D

Reggina

Disqualified: Modesto

The squad of Reggina:

Campagnolo, Novakovic, Valdez, Lanzaro, Aronica, Alvarez, Cherubin, Barreto, Hallfredsson, Pettinari, Montiel, Cascione, Missiroli, Tognozzi, Vigiani, Cozza, Joelson, Ceravolo, Tullberg.

So there is good news because Amoruso and Modesta are missing.

Resting Samuel?
Yes, that will be the line up. Its a good choise to rest Samuel, we better need him against CSKA. We cant afford the risk to play Samuel in this match.
