Real gonna attack, so basically this is the game where Conte's counter attacking tactic will do better, but...but...but...but...fuck Kolarov.

According to Marca, one Real player has tested positive for covid. They don't mention the name of the player. The whole squad will get tested again tomorrow.

Imagine this.. whole team is positive, we must play their B team who atm turn out to be better than their A team? Or.. They lose a lot of their stars, we win and Conte all of a sudden feels like king of the world thinking he was right all along?

I hope they are all available. Because it’s better to lose to their A team than their B team.

after watching the shitshow against Parma I really have no idea how we'll be able to get anything from this match without Lukaku+Sanchez (probably). That's two pretty big absences in a department where we are already thin

Conte must really go if we lose this

Losing to Real Madrid isn't a big issue. Unless it's like a 3+ goal bashing.

Coming to a situation where not grabbing 3 points against Real Madrid in a group stage probably knocks you out is the real problem.

What's the update on available players? Specially sanchez and lukaku? Damn only if conte could motivate and utilize naingolan...
Inter have Alexis Sanchez back in training and in contention for a place in the line-up against Real Madrid, as Romelu Lukaku reportedly won’t travel to Spain. Tuttomercatoweb reveals Sanchez was training with the group ahead of the trip to the Spanish capital and will therefore be available against Los Blancos tomorrow.

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane expects 'another difficult match' against Antonio Conte’s Inter in the Champions League. ‘It’s a Final’.

“Inter are a good team, very physical, and they play football well. It’s another difficult game for us. It’s a Final,” Zidane said at a press conference.

“These are three points we must try to claim. Every game is a Final, we know and we will concentrate without thinking about what will happen later.”

Zidane hinted Luka Modric could start against the Nerazzurri.

“He’s important for us, I count on everyone. Luka knows that what he does, he does well. But as always for a coach, the hardest thing is to tell someone so strong what to do. He gives us energy.”

The Frenchman said his players have to ‘give everything’ to turn around Real’s poor start to the competition.

“The Madrid players have to give everything because they play for this club. We are growing an important team that can win something. We always talk about how we must change, but these guys are competitive. They want to win, and I can say this as a coach. I discuss with them; we want to try to reach our targets and keep the level high.”

Eder Militao has tested positive for coronavirus and the coach highlights he will be missed against Antonio Conte’s men.

“We know that we must aspire to win everything, we lose something important when we are without Militao, but everyone will give their all. The draw put us in this competitive group, but all of them are.”

Zidane said Conte made ‘a great impression’ when he studied to become a coach and remembers how important the former midfielder was as captain for Juventus.

“We didn’t talk with each other, as Juventus captain he was very important for the team. It’s normal that he became a coach, I’m not surprised.

“We are on good terms, I remember that I went to visit him in Turin when I was about to become a coach too and he made a great impression on me.”

That's not so bad even though i am no fan of playing Barella as an AM and i would prefer Skriniar over D'Ambrosio.

On the other hand, Real are expected to play like this:

REAL (4-3-3): Courtois; Lucas, Varane, Ramos, Marcelo; Valverde, Casemiro, Kroos; Asensio, Benzema, Hazard

I watched the matchup once but I was really young and don’t remember much - must have been around 97 or 98. I always thought how they were the only big team I’ve never really watched us face that I can remember

The first, and last, time i remember us facing Real was in my first season as an Interista back in 1998. I remember that match because it was a masterclass of Baggio.

That season if Ronaldo was healthy and if the fucking refs didn't kill us in freaking Europe as well, the CL should have been ours.

It’s probably done in purpose so we wont have to watch our disgusting performance. Thanks Kenny.

:slick:

Good Lord! I haven’t been able to login to change some things up. Anyway, this must have been the most waited game this season. Hope we win this so that it will be the turning point of recent horrible performances, at least mental-wise.

Every time I see highlights of Baggio, I get goosebumps. What a player

What do you mean? I can say with confidence that Kroos, Casemiro, and Modric all wouldn't crack our starting eleven under Conte. None of them are on the level of Vidal :einstein:.

Indeed....yet somehow they ran around Vidal twice last seson . Actually, I don't think he started either game v Real last year. Was a sub and didn't do much (barca scored 0 over 2 legs I believe).

Spot on. Just look at Christian Eriksen. Under Conte, he simply cannot break into that regular 11...
