Obviously a sting coming up to such a big game to lose a big player like this, but I definitely agree it's a power play to show that the bullshit won't be tolerated anymore and I absolutely love that. So many players that were supposed to come in and make the difference have fucked our seasons with their pathetic attitudes, it's about time we do something about it. I loved the fact that we signed this guy, got so fucking excited. And to be fair, he has popped up with some good goals and passes in games he has played, just hasn't played enough. I can't see how the lifestyle could do anything but hinder his recoveries, so maybe this slap in the face will wake him up somewhat as well as the players around him.

Obviously it's a sting in the short term coming up to the Napoli game, but this is definitely a long term gain if we now have this level of discipline at the club.

Just take it from his salary, it is the best slap he can get

He earns >400k euro a month, you think the 100k we are fining him with is gonna make a dent in any way?
He will earn a quarter less and also do a quarter less work because he won't even be called for the game. Seems like a pretty even tradeoff.

This guy does not seem to care about career achievements, which I think is the biggest motivation for many top players. If he cared and acted properly, he probably would not have missed World Cup 2018, the year when his country earned the best ever result.

For a guy who doesn't care, this suspension looks like a dream situation. No work for him, but still a large portion of the pay. Can someone suspend him from social activity too? That will be the real punishment for him.

He's no longer on instagram. Whether it was his decision or someone asked him to close the account isn't known, although I find the latter rather unlikely

Probs just temporarily disabled it as many do in a PR crisis.

You can temporarily deactivate your Social media account just like a player can temporarily be suspended from football activity. #interwisdom

Back in the summer, he was picked by some as their candidate for “Serie A flop of the season”, with obvious reasons, but his first 6 months at Inter probably exceeded their expectations. Sadly for us.

True or fabricated, rumours also talk about Nainggolan missing out on the technical meeting before a game, showing lack of effort during his recovery from injury and more, until the Christmas event.
Anyway, Marotta made his presence felt (and paved the way for a potential "two birds with one stone”, for those who want to see some malice). No more Moratti's simpatia.

It would be ironic to see Radja in the stands during Inter-Napoli, sitting on a bar stool (!) just like Bonucci did in Oporto when Juventus suspended him for disciplinary reasons. Not happening.

He will come back stronger than ever.

I guess he is kind of person that needs to have some shit in his life to be motivated. Good move by our management, now sit him on the stands for 2 games, and then let him back in starting 11.

He is fucking thirty years old. He isn't changing his lifestyle all of a sudden just because of some suspension or a fine.

He might be coming on time now for a month or two but he'll slip back to his old ways soon enough.

I think it is a good move by Marotta that he acts when dicipline is needed. It will send a message to the whole squad and that is whats the most important thing.

As for Nainggolan it may work for now. But I sense that for Nainggolan it won't work for the long term. He performs by his emotions and when he feels good and appreciated he will have his best games. He has had unluck with injuries and never been fully fit. All he needs now is a rest and if Inter handles this the right way then in the spring we will see N9 that we all know.

I wish we lost 0-3 againts Napoli so other player can have partying together with Radja. Whats the point coming early if your teammate is still suckass eventho they coming a hour early. Should just let baldie slept with him and be done with it.

He was fined not for his lifestyle, but for him getting late on training. He has never been late previously, most of the time he was bashed for his actions outside the pitch.
I dont care if he gambles his all wage or drinks entire weekend, as long as he stays fit and gives 100% on training and on the pitch. He gives it, we have one of top midfielders in serie a.

I agree with you on the gambling, I don't care if he wastes his wages this way. But I cannot agree on the drinks. Even if you get drunk 3 days before the matches, your body will pay that, in the long run. Alcohol makes you gain weight.

He has been drinking his entire career, it's well know fact. It didn't affect his performances, did it? :) Not till this year at least.

And why do you think he was late for training?
