Is Nainggolan worth this never-ending tug-o-war with Roma?

nainggolan is our most realistic option he is fast and his stats dont lie dude tackles very well and runs for days... he would slot in perfect for rubentus system and he would be absolutely gold with us, just look at the rest of our midfielders. Him and guarin also are not similar.

All the best teams in history? Give me a break, Barca in recent years and the dream team in 90's? Bayern in the 70's ect ect?

Do you think Inter in the 60's would have been succesfull without the likes of Suarez, Jair, Mazzola, Corso ect ect All midfielders who were extremely good offensively and capable of scoring goals. Mentioning 60's Inter actually completely shows my point, you dont need to haul defensive minded players all over the pitch to do well defensively. You can have a defensive minded approach with very offensively capable players.

You view on the game is way too black & white.

hes not saying you win with just defense but you start by fixing defense.

You make it sound like I want us to line up in some sort of 'Anti-Galacticos', spend big on defenders and have shit strikers....

Build from the back. Not a single coach in this world (except Zeman) builds from the front.

Even Barca in recent years are so dependent on having a cunt like Busquets at DMC, I cant comment on Bayern in the 70s as I dont know anything about it.

You need a ROCK solid defense and then you build from there to be successful. And in my opinion, in the modern game, part of a rock solid defense is a Makelele-style player. As said a few times, Makelele is the PERFECT example of when this goes wrong.

Th problem I personally have is I dont know who I would suggest as a DM. Nainggolan is as close as I'm aware, sadly. But past him... I really dont know off the top of my head.
Wellington of Sao Paulo, Fernando of Porto, and Capoue are realistic DMs. There's this good player on Southampton, Morgan Schneiderlin, who would only cost 10-15 million. He is a complete bargain and and is an unsung player for his side. Scheiderlin would sit in front of the defence and break up attacks.

To be honest, I dont have any HUGELY strong opinions on Nainggolan, I'd just like us to sign him if thats who we've identified.

I want to see us be decisive sometime, actually just go out there and fucking sign the guy, instead of spending 4 weeks arguing over a couple of mils.

Prediction for what happens here:

We sit around for weeks trying to reduce the transfer fee by 5 bucks. Nainggolan goes to Roma, does well, and we sit here to complain about the management's inactivity. We sign Behrami and Pimpin spontaneously combusts.

big no.

WE make every player look big. Deals of the players the we've been doing recently should be done in less than 10 minutes.

Take for instance Paulinho, they asked 20 millions in the begining, we made ourselves look weak and bitchy, so no wonder neither the club sold him to us, but whats more important the player disliked us.

Tevez, the motherfucking idiot of all idiots - branca, went to his private vacation, just so we can get a big no in our face.

And then come the average player and shit player deals, we make such a big drama out of anyone... props to cassanos agent and strama for snatching kova so quick, otherwise to this day after mou left we would not have bought a single WC player.

Nice to see someone else noticed class of Morgan :)
I would say it would take 10-15mil for him, but pounds, not euros. Its Premiership, where players are bit pricey. Also, they are trying their best to improve, and since Morgan just won player of the year award with Saints, I doubt it would be easy for us to get him.
Thats why I hope Wenger is watching him :)

I think that if Thohir gives us money, we will have enough to beat Arsenal to his signature. We need to look for alternatives to radja, since Roma are favorites to sign him.

I wasn't laughing about the players, some are great and some i haven't seen enough, i was laughing about Song, who's far from good defender, and yet, you mention him as a holding DM. He can be great DLP, or b2b, but definitely not a a DM.

There's a reason I put Capoué, M'vila, and Luiz Gustavo in front of him. It was just an idea, admittedly not such a good one.

Although keep in mind that he was Arsenal's defensive pivot in the 2011-12 season.

- - - Updated - - -

Imho Capoué is the right man for Inter.

He's great in the tackle, and additionally possesses some offensive prowess.

I don't think Bayern would be willing to let go of Luiz Gustavo, and although M'vila's technique is likely better than that of Capoué, his mentality seems to be a problem (inconsistency etc).

But on Nainggolan, we should sell Guarin and then purchase him as a replacement.

I just can't understand why he was even first suggested to be a pivot when it isn't his natural position or role in the team, and when there are many other alternatives.
