I simply wonder if anyone could provide me with any information on this subject. All I know now is that you have to donate something or have 1,000+ posts. I've also heard something about PayPal, which demands credit card number. This makes we wonder what you have to donate to gain access to this multimedia forum. Money or films?

Could anyone please fill me in. Thanks.

Forza_Ragazzi.
Ill try give you the complete story.

Our topic 'Audio and Video thread' is where we usually post our Video's but now people who are not even registered (guests) are using them links and downloading or people just sign up and all they do is post a couple of times requesting things and thats all they do.

About a month or so ago the forum couldnt handle all this expansion that were going through with new members and more people posting so the Admin's upgraded there server and i think now it costs them 70 dollars a month!

People decided to donate before and after this to help keep the forum.

Now with the upgraded forum we have Handoyo is able to upload videos to the server so we dont have to use yousendit, megaupload etc... Now those links are very quick but if everybody uses them they will kill the forum cause it wouldnt be able to handle the bandwith.

So the admins to fix all above have made a new section, where they only let people who are over 1000 posts since they know they arent just there to download or people that donate a little bit of money to the forum via paypal credit card.

Anything else mate?

Edit: Oh, and if you have videos and you upload them you will gain access to it. But i dont know how much videos u need to upload. I think it was 6..but dont take my word for it.

I see. Thank you. Though, I feel 1,000++ posts is a little to much to ''live up to''. But I'm not to complain.

Can't stop thinking that I think 1000 posts is a lot to demand.

Not at all, when a forum like this is costing this amount to run, it's not that much to ask people make a contribution here before getting those priveleges. Join in the discussions properly and you'll soon find that your post count will go up.

Guess we'll never agree on that, but this is a dead discussion anyway. No one would ever listen.

If u became an active part of the community u'd have no reason to complain ;)

After all, a lot of members pay money towards this site and spend a lot of their time uploading things, hardly fair that anybody who joins the site can get that without any effort..

I see your point, Katiey, but the thing is that I feel 1,000 is a very large number and many posts. 500 would have been by far enough. I also feel that one should evaluate in every single case and not setting a line there and there. I know I may sound desperate when I out this words and I'm afraid that will lead to the ''supremes'' here not taking me seriously. Cause it will take some time for me to reach 1,000 even if I wrote here more regularly.

Doubt the rules are going to change ;) There's a lot of other sites with Inter videos if it's just leeching that you're after.

Join in the chat in the off topic & fan exchange forums as well as the others and you'll be there in no time.

i agree with you mate, if somone has already posted 500 times, then it should be obvious they are not just here leeching videos, 1000 is way too much. but i understand the situation the admins are in, cause if they don't make harsh rules, then things can backfire on them i guess.

but then there's the durai situation, with someone getting 500 posts in around a week, hardly long enough on the forums to deserve that.. Which is why 1000 is a safe number I guess

If Durai can post 500 in a week, he obviously can post a 1000 in two weeks. I think it's useless to just put in a certain number for it. It should be evaluated in each and every case. I've read here somewhere that it wasn't sure Durai would be accepted even though he reached 1000 posts, so what's the point with such a number? One could spam oneself to 2000 easily, but not get accepted. That why I question the decision to make 1000 a turning point for everyone. But I haven't heard from any of the ''chiefs'' around here, either. So I suppose what I'm doing is not that popular.

Obviously, we can't help if another "Durai" comes in and spam his way to get into the multimedia forum.

Forza ragazzi, for those who wants to access the Multimedia forums as fast as possible, you just need to do read this.

Thank you for answering, Handoyo. That pretty much swept away all doubt. So what I do then, basically, is to ask if someone wants some of the files I have?
