Use this thread to report any issues after the forum upgrade or suggest any changes/improvements.

This could include technical issues, styling issues (i.e. there's black text on a black background somewhere), etc.

Fair warning, there was a lot of work involved to get to this point, so any complaining for the sake of complaining will be responded to with great vengeance and furious anger

A question: When viewing "Watched threads" in the old FIF there was this tiny button that lead me to the oldest unread post in that thread. Is there such option still?
Now I can go to the thread by clicking on the title (leads to the first post) or clicking on the latest post timestamp (far right, leading to the latest post).

Edit: once you open the thread there is "Jump to new" in the upper right corner for anyone looking for the same shortcut.

I've never marked any threads as watched, but I know from the 'What's New' page you just click the title, if you look at the link it will end in /unread

It does! Thanks! I guess my first "view" of a thread was not recorded, so now after I've seen a thread, it takes me to the latest.

Is there a way to keep the sidebar permanently closed? Every time I go back to the home page for the forum it always re-opens itself.

No. For whatever reason, xenforo doesn't even provide a way to hide it at all, I had to create some javascript to do it. I can look into having it add a cookie, but would have to change the way it works to hide it up front

First I want to congratulate on the new forums to everyone who worked on this. It looks clean and fast on both phone and PC. Well done and thank you.

I do have slight suggestion though. Maybe you could change the quoted background to something darker (dark blue/black) to have more contrast. I think it would give us better distinction to spot the quoted text.

I feel the same way. Same goes for the signature section below the post. In the old forum, I think the line that separated the post from the signature as well as the border around a quoted text was thicker.

And some people have quotes in their signatures which makes it even harder to discern the actual post. Curious if others feel the same way.

I don't know what's possible or what's not, but this could be solved by giving the box of the post a darker shade of blue perhaps.

Maybe something like this:

Is it that the forums has become single-columned or what? Like it's no more in tablet form? Also, where are the smileys, thank post button, quote reply, multiple quote reply, advance post button and a lot more?

The format in the players et al section makes it hard to distinguish between threads with new posts and the rest. The name is placed in bold, but it's not thick enough to make it visible (yes, play around the words if you wish, cannot bother phrasing it otherwise).

Maybe something like this:

Changing the background color of every post makes the thread view very disjointed. I added some different background coloring (which can be tweaked to whatever) to the quote blocks to make them more obvious.

On the light style, the bold stands out much more, but it is a bit tough to differentiate on the dark style. I added a 'NEW' tag to make it very obvious now.

The 'Like' and 'Reply' buttons are on the bottom right of every post. To multi-quote, you just click reply on multiple posts and it will automatically add them to your editor box. There is no 'advanced editor' needed anymore because all the option are available from the quick reply editor. Anywhere you see 3 dots in the editor bar you can click that to expand all the options like smileys, media, spoiler, text formatting, etc

You're probably right!

It looks good now with the lighter shade for the quoted box. The posts are much easier to read like this 👍

On my phone it suddenly won't allow the option to touch the screen to get the reply screen. Quoting doesn't kill the glitch either. Android.

I felt the same way about the signatures which made me remove it.
