I still don't know why we don't make a move for Martinez Quarta from Fiorentina. He is 27. A right-footed CB with experience in Serie A. Argentinian/Italian. Plays really well and good with the ball at his feet. Transfermark has his value at $10m i think? I think he would do great here.

I'm at a local game for the Conference League and there's a Kvara clone here. Aged 22.

Otar Parulava.

Obviously nowhere near that level but moves like him. He could be a gem for some midtier league club somewhere.

P.S. Joao Mario's older bro also playing. Not one to watch :D

There are 2 players from Leece I wanna talk about:
Despite I think Kaba is quite mature for his age, in terms of game understanding, his lack of concentration (so obvious the lapse), and laziness; he is wasting himself and would just become Vencino and Gags; pretty much this playstyle cannot exist in this era, a dmf that does sweeping and good mental attributions.

Banda if his age is accurate as reported, obviously not Inter material, but I like the work rate and aggression (probably too aggresive), good balance of agility, speed and balance (strength); not sure if he has 90 mins of gas though, but pretty sure he can have a breakthrough season in 2-3 years. Thing is we don't play winger. Also he seems like the type of players that if we get him after the breakthrough season; he would be like David Suazo, so a good rotation/backup player for big teams, but a major player for small team. TBH probably a better player for Milan in the future than for us.

Cagliari's Zito Luvumbo looked quite agile and technical in those minutes he played against Inter. I don't know much about him but in the first glance he seems competitive. He's also scored a nice goal last weekend against Bologna. Should keep an eye on him, definitely has what it takes, to become a great player.

I rewatched the Cagliari's game just to be sure, and I checked his goal. Zito Luvumbo by all means have what you mentioned, but all his nice plays come from long ball open space, attack the player, attack the space. Not complex tasks.
However, when he comes to possession plays, he was nullified quite heavily, except for one play, but this is just based on one game, so hard to tell; and given his age and so.

One more thing is he never truly created any real danger to us though, but that is more kudos to our CBs, all 3 of them; and De Virj's weakness is not high line against fast player, it is more 1 vs 1 with no team coordinate defense; he is even easier than Dumfries to beat if no one is covering him, and we are talking about dribbling/running past.

To me the high line problem with Inter is not the leakage, but the stamina it drains when the team needs to run back, cause when it happens this year how De Virj won't easily give up won't make that unrecoverable; so this comes down to the how frequent this would happen, e.g. if we are aiming for high possessions, which we will save energy in other places etc.

Anyway definitely should keep an eye on him.

Pretty sure if they still had Pavoletti by the time he was doing things, they would have been a threat. To me it looked like he didn't get any support from other teammates. He managed to past our players a few times but nothing concrete. He won a few fouls as well while trying to past our players. Not saying that he did extraordinary things but he was definitely making difference for Cagliari.
