There are many problems in football...but the biggest problem at the moment, for players, is the doping.
Anyone read/heard yet about the newest incident in Italia? I´m just watching Punto e a capo program from Rai Due. I just saw quite shocking video that was taken in a Parma locker room from the season 1998/1999 just before UEFA cup final against Marseille, where Fabio Cannavaro injects the substance called Neoton [now banned - at that time it wasn't] and several teammates talk about what substances they take too. Our own Sebastian Veron is/was one of the users as well and was shown on the video. Of course, it wasn´t illegal then, but man it looks ugly. Cannavaro also said in the video "Here is the evidence that we are disgusting." :depress:
We just talked about doping with Tim few days ago. We both think that almost everyone if not everyone uses some kind of doping/illegal pharmacies. We also talked that we´re not going to defend any users, but we kind of understand why they use. Sometimes they play three intense 90 minute matches in a week, add all the trainings etc and that´s what you get. You would be a true superman if you can handle that without anything illegal.
Here´s few links to stories [all italian]...
