He moved inn with his girlfriend. Thats why he choose Norway. He was injured at the beginning of the season, if I am not mistaken and has not been picked by the coach after that. But he has been playing with the B team a few matches and done very well. Also Strømsgodset has this wizkid (Martin Ødegaard) who has taken his spot. The kid is 15 and debuted for the national team on monday or tuesday against Bulgaria. Not bad for a 15 year old...

Also read in a interview that the coach (David Nielsen also danish) was a big part in why he chose to go on loan to Strømsgodset.

Inter were willing to loan him to B several times but he refused, i think this is the club that him and his agent chose

wow, thats an epic fuckup on his part. serie b would have been so much better. now he pretty much single handed killed his career in italy.

Patric Olsen - Always looked good in pre-season games, Arsenal supposedly offered a few million euros for him at one point, sometimes he looked 40 years old in pictures, sometimes he didn't. Now he's playing for a reserve team in Norway?

Oh well, you win some, you lose some

Who knows, maybe Milan will buy him in monopoly money in a few years.

It is not surprising for me taking in mind the great talent he was when he played in Brøndby. A lot of Danes thought he would become something great like Højbjerg and Eriksen but it is sadly not surprising that this club isn't the ideal place to be for a young player.

He fucked up by taking his first loan spell in Norway, then getting no playing time. That was a very odd decision.

I'm sure the decision was made by both him, his agent and the club which means Inter was to blame for it too. I think a Dutch club would had been a lot better as the league has proved to be a great place for young players to develop.

I am following the norwegian league closely and he has definitely not set the league on fire. Last year he was at Strømsgodset(a club that is well known in Norway for developing talent. This is Martin Ødegaard's former club) but he didn't really get much playing time and was a massive dissapointment when he actually played...He got playing time for their 2nd team (norwegian 3rd/4th division ) but appareanly he was shit there as well and iirc he recieved like 3/4 red cards during the season...:palm: This season he's playing for one of the worst teams in the league but atleast he's getting playing time(by the biggest norwegian newspaper VG he's on the 75th spot on the player ranking, with an average of 4.89 out of 10). He's not even close to being among the most promising players in the league either, I think he'd hardly make a top 20 list of players born 1994/younger, .which says a lot. (The level of the norwegian league is pretty bad, those standing out in the league are usually going to either chinese football/2nd Bundesliga/Championship)

Strømsgodset was a shit team after their coach Ronny Deila and most of their great players left them after their league title which means it was bad timing for a young player to join the club as a lot of changes happened within a short time. I'm not trying to defend Olsen at all but I think you forgot to mention this important piece of information.

Well, Deila didn't leave before halfway into the season. And they finished 4th in the end, so they weren't exactly that bad. When Deila left David Nielsen took over, the guy that played a big part in him chosing Strømsgodset in the first place. So that is imo a really weak excuse.

Kamara, Johansen, Diomande and Ibrahim had all left the team in the winter of 13/14 and Deila was rumoured away right after they won the championship the season before with Celtic being interested for a long time. I agree that his performances were shit but I just wanted to mention that Strømgodset was not as great a team as it was the season before.
