10 years of FIFMost overated and underated players in the world.
Ok basically this is a thread to show which players you guys think should be talked about and praised, and which ones are getting to much attention. Heres my short list which you guys should make bigger.
Overated-
Gatusso- i am sorry and i am expecting people to disagree, but he's not a GREAT player, he's a work horse, but he does nothing special and adds nothing besides roughness and work rate. He was even on the fifa 30 shortlist, cmon fabregas, totti, cambiasso, rossina were not on it, so why should he be, cuz he was on a team that won the CL.
Drogba- yea he scores, he's like a chelsea idol, but hes nothing too special, he's like a half assed crespo i think. Anny way he can tend to be inconsistent and injured, and i think he gets too much praise.
Henry- Biggest signing of the off season? Injury prone and inconsistent is more like it.
Buffon- this will surely get a rise up from people too, yea he makes saves but should that make him most talked about goalie. When players like JC was winning games for us yet no many talked about him. Buffon not only played in Serie B, but i believe JC played better in serie A then he did in B. Making him OVERATED IN MY EYES.
UNDERATEd, who deserves more praise:
Belucci (river)- scores goals and assists when needed, exceleent work rate, fast and tough, not far till big clubs notice him.
Di natale(udinese)- performing miracles for italia lately, yet only now is he getting even a second look
Foggia(cagliari)- mircale man for cagliari as of yet.
Zanetti(inter)- Single handedly can run the defense and midfield, he is so consistent yet meet alot of people who dont know who he is.
JC- quite obvius. You guys should know why he's on my underated list.
I will add more players, but i want to see if you guys agree with me, and see who you put on these two lists

Well, IMO Fifa doesn't exactly overate him when he doesn't even make the Top 30 footballers in the World list. Too me that's underating him. I'm not saying he's the best but surely he's in the top ten.
Anyways.
Tevez is the most overrated player on earth. I used to think it was Messi because a lot of media was saying he was the best in the World despite him not being able to perform consistently. Now that he is, calling him best in the World is a fair. But the same media who called him best in the World, now are calling him one of the best players ever which is ridiculous. Anyways...
Tevez is overratad simply because they are calling him one of the best forwards in the World, which he isn't even close to because he's too inconsistent. IMO he's still just a talent.
Lukas Podolski is another overrated player. He scored a couple of tapins/easy goals in the World Cup and he got the young player award. It's ridiculous that it didn't go to Ronaldo.
Maicon is underrated simply because he doesn't get enough praise outside of Italy. I don't think people fully understand how good of a player Maicon is. Hopefully that will change after this years CL. IMO best in the World at his position. Other underated Inter players are Javier Zanetti, Julio Cesar, Cesar and Cruz.
