Official: Ze Maria joins Inter

It certainly looks like Mancio favours his old players back at Lazio which is pretty unprofessional IMO. We don't need some old fart in Miha when we've gotten an absolute gem in Burdisso, a player proven to be one of the world's most promising central defender's by being the captain of Boca Juniors. Hence, you must be special to be the leader of one of the world's biggest clubs. Ze Maria will be back up for Capitano, and this transfer actually makes sense but it's still quite disturbing to see our squad has 34 players.

It must be cut down to 25, atleast. Mancio should be using Mourinho's logic of having alot of talent is good, but over that limit is just unhealthy to the match squad and so many players will be mad at the lack of playing time. You cannot coach so many guys, it's ridiculous.

I don't see any reason why being so negative about Ze Maria. He's a bit old but he was a bargain, Juve and Milan were also interested in him, and he'll be a good back-up. I know the ideal situation would have been to sign a young promising player, but you can't ALWAYS do that.

I think this is a good move.

We will sign only player : Cesar or Jankulovski. Sadly, I am sure we will sign one of them.

We don't need the player, but no one can stop Inter managementat at the moment. They are on fire ..... like never ......

Back to the topic, I have no idea how Mancini's gonna use Ze Maria. I doubt if he has joined Inter just to be J.Zanetti's back up. Now, V.Meyde's position is also in threat for sure. A mid-season exit for V.Meyde on cards now

I personally feel that this is a good transfer for us. We need a back-up, and a good one at that, for Il Capitano. I now many of you guys regard Javier Zanetti as irreplaceable, and that he's a robot, and will play all matches without getting tired and/or injured. But he is getting old, and it's not very nice to make him play all the matches.

I'm severely against the acquisition of Mihajlovic though. I think he sucks. :yuck:

Will Mancio use Zanetti and Ze Maria at the same time? I doubt he will and i certainly hope that we wont buy Cesar anymore. Our team is complete, just get rid of some (7-8 players) and we are complete side.

If Mancio uses Zanetti and Ze Maria at right, then where would Stankovic play? If we buy Cesar as well, where would Emre/Recoba play then? I´m quite sure that we bought Ze Maria just as a back up for Zanetti. Ze Maria is too good for that, but what´s done is done. We seem to buy players only because they are available. Before transfer market opened Facchetti said we wont buy many players, only few. Ha! Now look at us! 34 players in one team is ridiculous amount of players. Sell sell sell and dont buy any!

Hope we wont buy Cesar, hope we wont! I rather see this kind of midfield (than buying Cesar):

Stankovic - Davids - Veron - Emre/Recoba

And last, i never seen so many as talented players as we have now at Inter. We certainly have changed, a lot. We will surprise the whole world with our play! We will shock them!

34? :dielaugh: I don’t really mind the size of the squad, as long as it is filled with talented youngsters & not back up trash but the real issue here is that you can only add a few players to your CL list? We can basically guess who’s leaving and who’s not when the list is delivered…Which should be anytime soon.

Now let’s get back to the topic at hand, Ze Maria is a good buy considering the requirements and how consistent he is (He didn’t miss a single game for Perguia during the 2002/2003 season!!! :wth: I’m not sure how he can cope as a back up player?) The disadvantages? Well wages for a start, and the idea of watching Della Fiore play this season are quite slim or even any other talented youngsters…So how would I rate this overall signing with an Emoticon? :neutral:

IMHO this is a good transfer. Ze maria is good squad player.

Ze Maria was a good pickup. He's a very good player whose versatile and is a backup (if needed) for the RW spot as well as the RB spots. He's one of the best RBs in the Serie A and getting him for only 1.7 mill was a good deal. Unlike getting Mihajlovic, even if it was for free :fero:

Ofcourse this wasn't a bad deal since we've got no automatic backup for Capitano on paper, but we all know that Cordoba and Burdisso are capable of playing the right back position to perfection. We added a player that's too good to stay on the bench and shouldn't accept a back up role either. To be honest, i would have been in approval of this transfer had we not had a squad of 33 players excluding Ze Maria. That many players is unheard of, simply ridiculous to say the least.

Right now, we're looking for a left winger and we probably won't even sell any players. That would leave us with a total of 35 squad members, that's enough for Mancio to be coaching two full squads. Not even all these players will be able to make it to our CL list, it doesn't get more unprofessional then that. Obviously goes to show that our management have no clue what they are doing and don't have a plan coming into the off-season. Adding insult to injury, they probably think what they are doing to us is quite wise. Just because we're signing players for free doesn't mean our squad harmony won't have any problems, i guarantee you atleast half of our squad will be unhappy with it's lack of playing time. The only positive that you can get from this is that we're the automatic favourites to win the Coppa Italia.

I think you're being VERY UNFAIR to our management. The transfer market has just started, why do you judge it as if it was all over already?

We have signed players such as Davids and Ze Maria, which Milan and Juve were trying to get as well.

We still have more than a month to sell and loan players, and of course we will.

You have a point saying that Ze Maria is too good for the bench, but if I have to choose between feeling sorry for him not playing or for Inter not having a proper back up in case Capitano can't play, I much rather feel sorry for Ze Maria...

At this rate we can have 3 totally different lineups for the Serie A, the CL, and the Coppa Italia and use some primavera to fill up the bench. I mean seriously whats next? We bring back Zac and Cuper to be in charge of different Inter teams?

Anywayz on the Ze Maria argument I still think he was a good buy because he is a good player who can play either as a RB or as a RWM.

I'm sllightly concerned that we're gonna wait to long and we might end up having to give players away in a rush. But it's very early days, so this is not a worry yet. Up to now I'm absolutely satisfied with our transfers.

A chance? haha. A blind man could see that we have absolutely no organization and they are not even trying to sell players right now, if so we would be getting buyers left in right for un-needed class players like Van der Meyde and Kily Gonzalez. They are just being puppets and buying whatever Lazio player Mancio reccomends, nothing more or less to it. Currently, we've got way too many players and i will not approve of our transfer campaign unless we cut the squad down to 25 players. Way too much deadwood, it's only common sense. Guess someone should tell that to Fachetti & Moratti, eh.
