Cause he suck, and because of the reason that we have renewed Mihajs contract. And I don't want to see him and Mihaj again in our CD. besides he make so many mistakes in every game and only God knows what that has costed us.

I still cant believe it! There are moments when you cant neglect your heart. I would have been happier if I let both Adriano and Oba leave then to see Vieri leave. I just love the guy!

I just love you mate.

If the numbers are right that we saved about 4 M€ in Bobo's salary when we annuled his contract, then this is just bullsh!t. What can we do with that money?? If we got some excellent player for free, then we could pay his salary, though he would want more than 4 M€. Besides we already had an excellent player in Vieri, so what was the masterplan...? What we did was that we paid Vieri 9M€ so he would NOT play for us, while with paying 4 M€more he would be play for us. My point is that we seriously can't get any player (or anyone that good) with 4M€ including players salary and possible transfer fee.

come on give them some credit

they have finally realised world class talents on the bench is as good as ur primavera players

if u cant play them then why pay big bucks just to sit on the bench ?

only 11 guys are needed on the pitch

surely u can't pay someone 10m-12m annually if u know that this guy will only play if someone else is injured :) unless u r Chelski

+ this is the world cup year and Bobo wanted a piece of the action to earn his azzuri shirt

no point in keeping unhappy and disgruntled players ; they make a poor dressing room

i am sad 2 see Bobo go but i still think it was the right choice made by our management

and paying 6m ........ i wonder how much of that the agent kept for himself

And Vieri just sat on the bench last season, how about those 16 goals (was it 16?) he scored. There are reserves and then there are RESERVES. Vieri was a player we used, but we also have lots of reserves that are more or less useless and still they earn quite high salary. I mean world class players who spent the season mostly in the stands.

OK, here's the criteria that I use to rate Vieri's transfer:
  1. Will we save money from not paying Vieri's full wage?
  2. Will Martins get more playing time?
  3. Will this ease Vieri's negotiation with his new club?
  4. Will Vieri get more playing time in his new club?
  5. Referring to 4 & 5), will this increase Vieri's chance to be included in Marcelo Lippi's squad in World Cup 2006?
  6. Judging from last season's form; will Martins, Cruz, Recoba & most likely, Makinwa be able to fill Vieri's shoe next season?
For me, the answer is yes to all the questions. Hence, I put all sentimental feelings aside (As hard as it may be) and I say to myself that the transfer benefits both parties.

4 M€ is also not the confirmed amount we might have saved, just like you said & unless it's in inter.it, we will never know it. According to Altobelli's (Inter's legend ??) interview, we cud even have saved around $10million or so. Well, we will never know how much we have saved. :)

Firstly I want to thank Vieri for his six years at the club. He has had ups and downs but a fans favourite (for the most part) and has shown he is capable of making a home for himself (after season long stints at Juve, Athletico Madrid and Lazio). We've had the best years from him IMO and he does seem constantly plagued by injuries. With only a year to go and with the World Cup next Summer, I think cancelling his contract early was a good gesture from the Inter management as a way of saying thank you. With Adriano and Martins, we have a first choice striking partnership that can lead the club forward over a number of years.

I can see Vieri going to Fiorentina personally, but wherever he goes I wish him the very best of luck. If he can have a strong injury free season he will be ready for Italy in the World Cup.

People are too quick to post negative comments. We need to look at the bigger picture.

I can't wait to see Tommi's and Jake's reaction that Vieri went to Milan. Or is about to.

They say Chelsea is holding Crespo away from Milan. Milan are trying to cheat Cheslea, first 8 mil for Kaladze, now they want him for loan. They are not stupid.

Chelsea want Sheva, maybe Milan sell Sheva, get Vieri, and Juve keep Trez and get Cassano. That leaves Gilardino.

I doubt that Gil will come to a team with Sheva/Bobo/Inzaghi, and possibly Crespo.

A Cruz/Adriano/Martins awaiting party sounds mor elikely for him.

It´s really sad, but what can you do. Another gift from Inter to Milan, thus the name...Inter Milan. :p

Baggio, Zamorano, Vieri...life sucks i know.

Milan Lab + Vieri = Unstoppable force, no doubt.

this :frustrat: :fero:  pretty much describe it

that list just get longer and longer

Pirlo- AC Milan
Seedorf- AC Milan
Crespo- AC Milan (Chelsea)
Baggio - Ac Milan (not their anymore)
Zamorano- AC Milan (the same as abow)

Cannavaro- Juventus

And now Vieri- Milan

those two clubs must really love us especially AC Merda.

This is becoming a bad habit, and those on that list are only in recent history. :depress:

yes, I researched it on wikipedia and Zamorano NEVER played for AC Milan. How could he be an Inter legend if he did something like that?

'Adriano' - get your facts straight.

Roberto played for BB Merda before he ever joined us. From Milan, he moved to Bologna in the summer of 97, where he stayed for a year before joining us.

I can't seem to find the Vieri thread.

Vieri To Sign For Milan Next Week
7/5/2005 6:47:00 AM
The former Inter player will sign a two-year deal with the Rossoneri.
According to latest speculation, Christian Vieri will soon join Milan after being released on a free transfer by Inter in the past days.

The player is expected to undertake medical tests, which have already been booked by Milan, on Monday and sign thereafter.

Vieri has apparently agreed to a two-year deal after the Italian international refused to negotiate with other squads.
