And when was that?

Materazzi has done it himself, especially in NT he's been a disaster. He is simply unreliable and bad tempered, remember the Cirillo incident.

I don´t care if he score 7 own goals for Italia (I´m Italia fan even) if he can play like he did the last couple of seasons, Jake.

Cirillo accident: I am still pissed at him for that. But a man makes mistakes and thankfully Matrix learned from them. Notice how clean he was afterwards?

You guys are heavily underrating Gamarra. He maybe 33 but that doesn't mean he has all of a sudden lost the skill that made him one of the best South American defenders, period. He may not be as fast as some but he is still a solid performer, good enough to be a stable backup.

Cannavaro leaving benefits one player more than any in the squad, Burdisso. Now he really has a shot to get a starting position and I'm sure when he comes back from injury he can do it. Burdisso is Cannavaro's replacement, Gamarra was brought in to replace Burdisso as a backup.

I also don't think that the management planned to sell Cannavaro. It just wouldn't make sense for them to let Adani go if they knew they would be lacking in the defensive department later on. Thats just stupid.

Obviously not, since they decided to give him for free... :depress:

I'm a happy fella now :D

We lost Cannavaro but Gamarra is great stuff, he's one of the heros from the Delle Alpi triumph.

Keeping Karagounis, Coco, Pasquale, Kily will give us lots of options on the right and left. I'm just happy now, too bad for Canna but I was expecting much worse!

One question though: can we still sell/loan players to teams from other countries? Or is it all over for everyone now?

Yes we can if I'm not mistaking. Can you remember Batistuta as I remember it we loaned him after the transfer window had closed....

It's all over. Now we can only sign players that don't have contract with any club. We can also release players from their contracts and knowing our policy, I bet we are gonna release let's say Choutos and pay him 3 years wage.

But can we SELL players? Can we sell V D Meyde to Ajax? I'm sure they have the CL window as well, but what about playing in the Dutch League?

Same with other leagues: can we still sell players? I'm thinking of Kily/Karagounis mostly...

The TRANSFER window is closed. That should simply explain the situation. It is a transfer between two clubs if let's say we get money from Ajax for Van der Meyde whose going back to Dam.

Andy Van der Meyde won't be joining Ajax as they signed Argentine right winger Mauro Rosales today. ;)

I was actually kinda surprised that we resigned him. Wouldn´t you think that he would be pissed at us for dropping him...? Maybe he needed the money?

Or my favourite: He has an Inter heart...?

It´s a mystery to me...

All I can say is: Gamarra :proud:

Well surely Gamarra is better than nothing. He's also better than Mihajlovic. But still, not Inter material.
