I thought I'd start this thread considering that Xbox and the PS3 have their own.

Anyone bought a Wii U?

Even though the Modern Nintendo era hasn't appealed to me as much as my 360, you can't deny the impact Nintendo has had on Video games. I fell in love late with my Wii.

Franchises like Zelda, Metroid, Mario, Donkey Kong etc are so iconic and hopefully we will see a lot them in new titles on the Wii U. I'm assuming they are waiting for the announcements of the new consoles from Sony and Microsoft before announcing a new Zelda for example as it would be their best chance to compete.

The Super Nintendo is still my fave console of all time.

I dont care about core Nintendo franchises anymore, Nintendo is lame fo rme.
They hardy come up with any new IP's, (unlike Sony and MS) got lucky with succesfull lineup back in the day (loved it), HAD NO COMPETITION at the time, Sega was destroyed, so everyone played and fell in love with Mario, Kid Icarus and what not.

Tell me a killer IP that Nintendo created during Wii era?

I never got Wii, I'll probably will buy WiiU at some point as its backwards compatibile

I'm a big Nintendo fan, I have the Nes, Snes, N64, Wii, DS Lite and 3DS. I know I'll get the WiiU at some point, but not right now. People are reporting random crashes and a lot of installations to be made to be able to start playing it, so first I'll wait until this things are fixed. Secondly, sadly for Nintendo the WiiU is not gaining the same interest the Wii had, so I feel just like the 3DS in a couple of months there may be a price cut.

Zelda hasn't been the same since Ocarina of Time, I thought Twilight Princess was boring. Skyward Sword was better with new ideas, but it was lacking something.

Donkey Kong is who I kept using. Something about how fast he was. Not sure why some of the heavyweights were so fast.

Heavyweights have the higher top end speed, while the lightweights have the high acceleration.

Mario Kart Wii is okay, but nothing will ever beat Double Dash. That game was insanely fun.

I prefered 64. Much more classic to me even if the graphics aren't as smooth as today. I hated Double dash tbh. My least favorite of the cart games. I grew up playing the SNES one the most.
