Personally, I don't want to see him join the club at all. I don't like his over-zealous playing style, he will get sent off constantly, we need a calmer head in the team than that.​

I too would prefer Sahin, though I don't see them as identical players. De Jong looks more like a hard stopping DM that gets possession using physicality, and Sahin tries to create plays from a deep midfield area. Sahin is pretty much a direct replacement for Stankovic, which I would prefer.

De Jong has to do with Sahin because, before we wasted 11 million on Palacio, we were led to believe Inter were on a budget. So if we can only purchase one midfielder, then yes, I would prefer an investment in Sahin than De Jong. If we're talking about swapping De Jong for Maicon and keeping the transfer budget open, then you're right.

I prefer other defensive midfielders over him. Players like Veloso or Sahin. De Jong isn't bad but he doesn't have the passing skills (especially long ball) which are needed for the roll he's gonna have in our squad.

exactly why I don't want him here but people love Matrix who was 10x the butcher that De Jong is. Look up Matrix gifs and they are way worse but people find those funny here for some f'd reason.
