FRIENDLY: NICE V INTER ON SAT 9 OCT

Monday, 04 October 2004 12:42:39
MILAN - F.C. Internazionale will play a friendly match against O.G. Nice at 18:00CET on Saturday 9 October. The match will be played at the Du Ray Stadium in the French city.

----------------------------------

Inter will play a friendly against Nice (French team) on Saturday.

Monaco [3 - 4] Nice - That's the latest result of Nice.
Even though we won't have most of the main players at our disposal, coz of the international schedule, but there will be players like Burdisso, Ze Maria, Cruz, Cambiasso, Coco (?), or what abt CARINI ??

Cambiasso has been called for WC qualifiers. Carini has been called too but not Recoba.

Toldo

Ze Maria - Miha?/Gamarra? - Burdisso - Favalli/Pasquale/Coco?

Van der Meyde - Veron - C.Zanetti - Kily?/Rebecchi?

Vieri - Recoba/Cruz

Yeah, there's lots of question marks cause I don't have a sure information about those players. At least Rebecchi should be fine but I don't know about Mancini, remember he said once we have only one pure LW (Kily).

We ought to have a pretty strong team for this game. It´s actually quite a shame that Karagounis is called up for national team duties. He needs these sorts of game to impress Mancini, which he certainly would do if given the chance.

I think this friendly is an awesome idea. With so many players in our squad, we need pointless games to evaluate the status of some players. It´s a must game for guys like Dellafiore and Rebecchi. Also Choutos should play, unless he´s injured.

Great initiative from Inter.

Sorta surprising that we are having a frinedly during the season. Thats rare. Though I think Cuper did it either last season or the season b4. Anywayz hopefully it is a chance to test out some new defensive schemes and check out the players that haven been given chances to shine yet, such as Kily and Karagounis.

I wanna see carini start this game. We need to test him to see if he is ready to replace toldo in the 1st team lineup.

Is Adriano being rested now? Mancini said he could rest in time for the NT matches. Is Brazil playing WC Qualifiers now?

Ok i think we all agree here that we love Karagounis because his spirit, etc.. but do you guys actually want him in the starting 11??

I mean we have problems because many good players sit on the bench and arent playing. For all who wants to see kara playing, then tell me your formation.
As for me, he can play in the coppa Italia or easy champions league games for example, but for sure i dont want to see him replacing any of the players who play in the serie A.

Karagounis should belong to the rotation system, which he currently isn´t. The same goes for Rebecchi, who is actually a very good player (not many have seen him, but I have).

Karagounis isn´t a starting player in any big games, with a full-squad.

If you have seen Inter's games lately (Which of course you have), you would notice that Stankovic looked rather jaded and tired. Karagounis IMO can perfectly replace Stankovic on the field. Both are fighters, right-footed and can play as a left midfielder. He has not been given a single minute yet after his impressive Euro 2004 performance, I think considering his tournament and last season's form, he deserve a chance, doesn't he? I'm not saying as a starter but give him a few minutes and starts. Who knows, he could be better than Stankovic. ;):D
