I have just started a new thread about NFL since I couldn't find the old one.

yesterdays game NYG vs the Eagles was really the best game so far. and I was really impressed by how Eli Manning and NYG offence improved in the 4'th quarter and made a miracle comeback.

And My Patriots have won the first two games of the season, unfortunately we have been far from impressive so far.

but the biggest disappointments so far is Panthers and Dolphins(very pleased about it) who have lost the first two games. Just hope Panthers will get back on track.

and least but not last Chicago rules, it's funny how the commentators still don't believe in them. they have by far the best defence in the league. and their offence have improved since last season and I do think they can get very far this season, they might even go all the way.

I really hope Carolina gets back on track with the hard-earned win on the weekend.

How about the Saints? I support USC in NCAA, so I was very pleased seeing Reggie Bush settling quickly into the NFL, but I was shocked how easily they thrashed the Falcons.

Yeah, that is really sad to hear.

I don't know whether to blame the media or blame him. He is a great player, but he gloats too much and seems unable to be humble.

Like for example when he said once that he is much better than R Moss. I agree with him on that, but you don't hear players saying they are better than their direct competitors (I never heared C Ronaldo saying he is better than Robben etc.)

So he must be depressed that he can't be as great as he can, or claim, to be and that would drive you to suicide!

that is bullshit..the media as always try to make money out of ppl's personal issues..T.O had a press-conference and he said he just took pain killers for his broken hand from last weeks game...apparanently he got knocked out from medication and his publicist paniced and called 911,when she thought he may have died...i saw his press-conferense,and he evene practiced today..and he was very geniune, and also there has been a lot of missunerstanding leadin to the story..btw,,i just love Bill Parcells and the way he handled this...he;s class:)..here are some links..and u guys judge for uselfs...

Multiple people with knowledge of this sort of incident and these types of investigations maintain that if this indeed was determined to be a suicide attempt the DPD would not be allowing Owens to leave Baylor Medical Center, as he already has, and that it would subject Owens to a 72-hour psychological investigation.

Damn, media got me again. I should've figured that they just wanted to sensationalize the whole thing. I will be more careful in the future :p

Off-topic: Jay Leno's take on the whole thing:

The only way TO would've attempted suicide would be if he was a member of the Oakland Raiders

PATRIOTS IS BACK :star:  :strong: :yeay:

what a game by our offense we totally dominated Bengals in 3 quarters. and I was especially impress by our rushing offence the best we have had while I have been a fan of the club.

Oh my this shouldn't have been possible when you look at how many rookies we have as starters, and this season was meant to be the start of a rebuilding period. But if we can keep this up then we can go all the way.

PATRIOTS FOREVER.

ps. Who gives a shit about R.Bush he is a nobody.... we have Laurence Maroney. :strong: by far the best rookie running back so far.

pps. And to those who haven't taken Bears seriously by now should reconsider to do so. they destroyed the NFC champions Seattle Seahawks in a way that they can feel for a very, very long time. This is the time where I'll say I told you so. At this moment Bears has the best defence in the league (no surprise at all) and is the second most scoring team. Right now I'm so convinced that they'll go all the way, I have never been so convinced about who'll win it since we(patriots)
won it the last time.

only a patriots fan would say that.

i do rate maroney he is a great rookie. but i still think bush is the man for rookie running back this year. i think he can have a better season that cadillac williams if the mc allister gets injured. i still think we need another back. jones is great and had an awsome game against redskins thank god and the eagles to even tho we lost. but barber and jones to me are to similar and thompson as a fast back doesnt impress me caus he isnt much else but speed. i was watchin a game from last year and saw parcells play terrence newman both ways for a magority of the game. i liked the idea. newman to me is one of our best players along with williams (love that guy). and havin drew at qb is good for experience but im worried about next season drew is old as the hills. we need to look for a qb and maybe another back. how is that kincade guys that we had at trainin camp RB we sent him over seas for a while and i thought we got him back. anyone know anythin about him

yeah, kincade got relased before the start of the season.i heard parcells is trying skyler green at running back...and i heard he's acctually doing pretty good...imagine...skyler at running back:)..i never thought of that...i think thompson is not bad as u think...he hasnt got an reall chance...he got one against tennese and he scored touchdown...

Aafter seeing the NFL Icons promos for Sjy Sports, I want to know more about the game. Would anyone like to help me learn more about it, or will wikipedia do the trick?

Just ask us if there is something particular you want to know about the game.

http://www.nfl.com/features/rulebook

here you can find any basic information you might want to know about the game.

and don't worry, you don't have to know all the rules and penalties, even I don't know it and I have been following NFL for over 7 years.

the best way to learn NFL is to play "MADDEN 07"....it's pretty simple...:)..what exactly u wanna know??

the league is divided into two divisions AFC and NFC.Those two division then are divided into East,West,North and South. Each of them have 4 teams...the game is played with 11 man on the field, like soccer, but here there is totaly different players playin offense and totally different players playin defense:)when the team is defending theres 11 players totaly different from the 11 when the team is on offense..kinda confusing...anywyz...the best team in history is Dalllas Cowboys:)...5 super bowls....
