Was going to go to bed to get up all chirpy to miss the game due to work tomorrow, then another dude ran of the cafe out and shit started to get real.

Reports going around that at least one of the hostages has been killed in the process.

They were waiting for the guy to get tired. To my knowledge, it's still unconfirmed whether the guy was working alone or whether there was another gunman or more with him. Based on what I've read and heard today I'm increasingly inclined to think he was alone. I'm also increasingly inclined to think the rumors of a bomb in the cafe and more placed throughout the city, are false. The more reports emerge, the more it seems the guy was a fucking amateur.

It's also unconfirmed whether the police moved in as planned or if their hand was forced. Reports now claim they moved in after there were gunshots following the apparent 'escape' of one or two hostages around 2:00AM.
