Why do goalkeepers get the blame when they conceed a goal at the near post??? The latest example is when Ambrosio was 'at fault' when Morientes scored against him. I thought when a player shoot to the near post he:
1) Reduced his angle.
2) The distance between the player and the goal is nearer than if he shoot to the far post, hence the ball reach the goal faster.
Why???
