Getting a win here would break our rivals spirit.

Napoli is a bigger threat than gobbi in offensive department but we are more likely to create chances here though. Napoli's defence has been very shaky this season, so we gotta make sure we take advantage of it.

We need a 10/10 performance in this one. A true champion does't let such moments slip away.

Draw is acceptable just like with Juve match. History is not irrelevant.

Worst juve since they were in Serie B and some people are OK with us settling for a draw after putting in 50% effort.

That was a rare, rare opportunity to exploit - to go to their home and destroy them - but we didn't take it because of "history" and whatnot. Weak from Limone and the boys. I hope they man the fuck up for this one.

No it isn’t. Neither was for Juve. If we are serious about the the second star, no draw is acceptable. Why the fuck do people here still think this is 2015 Inter?

Did it look like we had a legitimate chance to create scoring chances in that match without raising the risk levels considerably? No, it didn't look like that. It wasn't weak, it was smart. The main goal was not to lose the match. After the mistake by Rugani, they didn't leave us any space.

You of course encourage for higher risk taking because you have zero accountability for the outcomes of that risk taking. Inzaghi knows what he is doing.

As for Napoli match, their attack is much scarier but their defending is not top notch. We have a better chance winning this match but as said, draw from that stadium is not a shame either.

People have this weird obsession/fantasy that a team can win all 38 games.

I was about to save this to the Inter Jections episode but yes. :D Some set the expectations that because of this and that, we should win this and that match. Just looking the names on the team sheets, yes I guess we should win 38 league games. Dunno has that ever happened in the league history despite there have been many times clubs with the clearly best roster.

Agreed with this. We actually took more risk in the game in Turin last season but then conceded two goals in the counter-attack and a lot of people called out Inzaghi for being naiive.

We won the league under Conte and I don't remember many tough away games where we went full out to win the match in the last 10 minutes when we were drawing and no one can argue Conte wasn't a winner or it wasn't the right decision.

Anyway - regarding the overall season. It's a 38 game season and no team is going to win every game. Sure, you could argue that the best team in the league should beat everyone, but if that's the case, why has there never (to my knowledge) been a team winning the league by winning all 38 matches? When Pep's Manchester City draw against Liverpool when they were fighting for the title, I doubt Pep saw it as an 'unacceptable' result. I'm not comparing Liverpool to Juventus in any way but a draw away from home against one of your main rivals is not the end of the world.

Inzaghi learned from last season where he tried that tactic and we ended up losing to Juventus. If we did the same thing this time around and lost again, I doubt many would be praising Inzaghi for going for the win but rather calling him out for falling into the same trap.

Also, Juventus isn't as bad as a lot of people make them out to be. Sure, not all of their names are top players, but I frequent a lot of other forums and people would say the same thing about guys like Darmian, Acerbi, Mkhi, etc. Even some of us here were laughing when we were linked to some of these players (I was guilty of this with Darmian especially and I was 100% wrong).

I can understand the complains after the Bologna game as that was unacceptable after being 2-0 down. But teams will drop points throughout the season. Mourinho's treble winning Inter couldn't beat newly promoted Bari over two games in 2009/2010 and had plenty of games where we didn't 'go all out for the win' when we had a draw.

Must win. Napoli have been dreadful at home so far this season and it's against Mazari.

We ain't winning shit if we focus on everything else rather than playing football and taking advantage of opportunities.

We've been given opportunity before a couple of years but we didn't take it. It would be stupidity of highest grade if we do it again.

Napoli isn't THAT good anymore, plus change of coach won't bring results immediately. You could tell that their group isn't as united as it was earlier, judging from results, body language of their group and lack of competence by their management. This match can always go both ways but we should expect a kinf of "easier" fight than against gobbi, and we should exploit that.

The key tonight is to not concede 1st half. They are having very good 1st halves with Mazzarri, but drop level in 2nd.

This game is cooking some pressure on us, but if we manage a win, next matchday Rube-Napoli, Atalanta-Meelan.
