In the worst scenario, Inter will have to pay a simbolic financial penalty + Moratti will be banned for 15 to 20 days, or a month. This is not my opinion, it's opinion from people who are experts for sporting law in Italy ...
If they revoke the scudetto, than they will revoke CL title, and then Italy will have 3 places for CL from next year, it's so stupid and pathetic to believe in this stuff, no no, sry, it's not stupid, it's sad, so so sad. :(

Syn,
if you consider Italy's sporting mentality, where people prefer to "Gufare" their own club (for example Lazio - Inter), or even cheer against their own country because of the presence of too many Juve players (2006) etc etc, do you really think that the non Inter fans would even care to have one spot less in the champions league, if something happens to Inter?

I already said more than once that Inter fans shouldn't worry, but not so much because Moratti didn't do anything wrong, but because it the Italian sports Justice is a circus, in all senses.

Why? Because if Moratti and Inter's direct responsibility is confirmed in the forthcoming hearing, the minimum sanction is points deduction, and not a fine or suspension of the people involved.
So, what will happen? The accusation will change from direct to objective responsibility and the problem is solved by paying a fine and suspending someone for one or more months.
With this I am not acknowledging that those experts say (btw, one of them once said that Juve was not supposed to be relegated!), because the rules (which I repeat got sharpened) are there, and the sanctions too.
Finally, this means that comparing this situation with all the previous ones is senseless, because - once again - the rules have changed.

Finally: so Preziosi did indeed sign a contract when Motta joined Genoa (and apparently not when he left??), but still he was not allowed to do so at the time..........

Jeez, Preziosi is Genoa even if he is banned. So an agreement with Motta and him is valid.

Actually if you still dont understand, please call me dumb and forget it.

Of course Preziosi "is" Genoa, but that's not a valid justification.
maybe a solution would be of posting the warning that was sent to Moratti and Preziosi and the refer to the article violations (which are mentioned on the warning itself) and consequent possible sanctions, which are listed on the FIGC website?

What I want to know is why is this brought up at the very end of the season, when apparantly this matter was brought to the attention of those concerned months ago? It just seems ridiculous to me.

http://www.interfans.org/forum/showthread.php?t=122692

ok this says that moratti is suspended for 3 months and preziosi for 6 months

can someone explain does inter also suspended from the mercato ? or only moratti so that means branca can still sign players ?

Branca never could sign players.

I don't believe this affects our mercato. It only affects Moratti as an "employee" of Inter.

ps. Ghelfi and Moratti junior will sign players.

As expected fines and suspension. This happended to few clubs in the last months/weeks so nothing really surprising.

It isn't about the presidents giving consent its about guys who were suspended signing contracts and preziosi blabbing to the press that he agreed the deal with mm over lunch while he was suspended.

Luka is right as far as working goes nothing changes much. Ghelfi and angelo mario will sign the contracts while branca does his normal work.

Threads merges .

THE REACTION: INTER ARE FURIOUS!

Milan - Massimo Moratti left his offices in Saras at 19:30. In the early afternoon he was notified of the decision from the Disciplinary Committee. A disqualification which was poorly digested. Initially, he called his closet collaborators for them to act as a filter to the reporters but Moratti was not willing to release the official statements. But in the evening, he changed his mind and was the first person to entrust us with a series of sharp statements, not at all diplomatic. Three months of suspension, "the decision is the culmination of an attitude, a willingness and a definite reality - said the president of Inter. No, I do not feel guilty about anything. They did not take into account our defense and our justification." And in a statement from the FIGC stated that "Inter and Moratti argue that the aforementioned meeting in May 20, 2009 can not be regarded as a true negotiation for the transfer market. Preziosi, during the famous lunch, merely mentioned the negotiations already underway and managed by the staff. He added that during the meeting, compensatory techniques were not discussed and Zarbano, the managing director of Genoa, said that the final assessment of the two players concerned, in behalf of Genoa, was established by him, without Preziosi ever intervened in the meetings."

Abete Moratti especially targeted Abete. "I respect the judges, much less the Federation." The president has been feeling for some time the attention around his Inter, the justice was strange. "Mourinho was right when he said that this year would be very difficult had he stayed with us. He said they would make him pay... now he left, I didn't and now I am his liberty." "Collision" with Abete happened frequently during the last season. On the eve of Inter-Chelsea, arrived the sting about the Inter-Sampdoria game with six disqualifications, including Mourinho. Moratti commented that "Ridiculous sentence, and I thank Abete for the consistency. Now we will be calm for the Cup..."

Doesn't make a diff really - basically Ghelfi and Moratti Jr will be doing the contracts for this transfer window, and then will be back to normal for january 1!
