Most Important MemberI'm honestly not sure about starting Martins over Vieri for this game. We have no idea of Oba's physical condition and match fitness. It sounds too harsh for me that he should play his first game in about a month against Nesta, Maldini and Stam. But Milan is one of Oba's favourite team. He has scored 2 times against them in 0 starts. Being an unpredictable striker also helps since experience, something the Milan defence has in abundance, doesn't help in defending them. He can easily outrun the whole Milan defence and he has even gain more body strength and balance since the last time he faced them.
Vieri Vieri Vieri. The last 4 Derbies that he play has been shambolic to say the least. I forgot if he laughed with the Milan players when we were down but Vieri is a player that the Milan defence love to face, and that is players who based their game on strength instead of pace and rely on their abilities to score goals by being at the right place at the right time. But Vieri is the player who win us the game in 01/02. Vieri has also spotted a new change in attitude in recent games and, although I didn't watch the last 2 matches, he seems to have regained his old form. 2 games though, may not be enough for us to say that he's the old Bobo. It's also harsh to say that he's not passionate in Derbies. Perhaps in recent time but doubters should watch his celebration in 01/02 to see that this match is important to him as well.
After it's all said, I still can't decide who should start against Milan. But I think the player who partners Adriano should be the player who is physically more ready. Playing against Milan's defence takes a lot of strength and stamina. Vieri has amassed almost 180 minutes for the last 2 games and fatigue maybe getting into him. Martins has not played at all but we don't know how far has he progress in his recovery. I don't mind seeing either, honestly. But never never never 3 strikers. Mancio, don't commit a tactical suicide like you did in Rome.

I find it hard to believe that Toldo would start tho. He hasn´t played in a while and Fontana has been rock solid. Fontana will/should start.

The slowness on this forum is surely annoying as hell, and this is due to our server who has said it would take about six hours to get it fixed. It´s just typical that that technical problem is upon us a day like this. Just damn typical!
If Stam will miss the game, then that surely is a great thing. He does possess some pace, even though it´s hard to believe.

I can't wait for GAME TIME.
It should be a spectacular game where I'm really wishing, hoping, praying that the side shows that the game against Valencia and Udinese weren't flukes and that this Inter team is for real. Taking out Milan will be the true start of the beginning of the end for the rest of the Serie A.
