Milan is stronger than Juventus(I'm not against Juve, but their defense problems are gonna cost them a lot); Milan and Inter, before the start of the new season, seem to have the strongest squads. Since I think this is true, I wanted to compare this Milan teams (with the formations I'd like to see)

Toldo - Dida -> = ,Even thought Dida has improve a lot I prefer Toldo

J.Zanetti - Cafu -> =
Cannavaro - Nesta -> Nesta is called the best, but his Azurri partner is very close to that level, faster.
Burdisso - Stam -> Stam, but watch out with this promising player, he had already beaten Milan.
Cordoba - Maldini -> I prefer the faster defender in the world.

Davids - Gattusso -> = ,Davids skillful, Gatusso good defense
Stankovic - Pirlo -> =
Recoba - Seedorf -> =, but an inspired Recoba is way better.
Veron - Kaka -> Kaka, hopefully Veron will return to his real level, still he's been playing better than the brazilian in the preparations matches, we'll see.

Adriano - Shevchenko -> =, with Henry, my favorites
Vieri - Crespo -> Vieri, Is not one of my favorites, but still I think is much better than Crespo.

Toldo - Buffon -> Buffon

Cannavaro - Thuram -> =
Burdisso - Legrotaglie -> Burdisso, Legro is not on good shape.
Zanetti - Oddo/Bonera -> Zanetti, in both cases.
Cordoba - Zambrotta -> Zambrotta, also because of the advantage of being good with the left foot, but I prefer Cordoba defense skill better.

Davids - Emerson -> =, if Emerson is not depressed.
Stankovic - Camoranesi -> Stankovic, but Camoranesi played good last season.
Recoba - Tachinardi/? -> Recoba
Veron - Nedved -> Nedved, but i'll keep saying that Veron can surprise everyone.

Adriano - Del Piero -> Adriano, I'm one of those who think Del Piero is overrated
Vieri - Trezeguet -> =, if both on their best Vieri

Tachinardi, the bad shape of Legro, and the abcense of a good right back, are huge holes.

By the way i watched the Milan game here in the states against ManU and Nesta had the worst game ever for someone of his caliber...Their defence didnt good at all and with the speed we have we can easily cause trouble...Ofcourse Milan are in the begining of their preparations too.But i hope their defense continues to suffer...
Today they play against Chelsea,lets hope the trend continues.

I had done this sometime back for the other forum. Let me paste it here as well:

BOLD - better than the other (opponent)

1. Toldo – Dida
2. Fontana – Abbiati
3. Cordaz – Fiori
4. Cordoba – Nesta (but this one cud be debatable as Nesta is a great defender)
5. Burdisso – Stam (Stam gets the nod here coz Burdisso has to prove)
6. Materazzi – Maldini
7. Mihajlovic – Costacurta
8. Adani/Cannavaro/Sorondo – F. Coloccini
9. J.Zanetti – Cafu
10. Ze Maria – Simic
11. Coco – Kaladze
12. Favalli – Pancaro
13. C.Zanetti – Ambrossini
14. Davids – Gattuso
15. Cambiasso – Brocchi (Cambi has to prove as well)
16. Veron – Pirlo (Veron shud prove it)
17. Emre – Seedorf
18. Stankovic – Kaka
19. Karagounis – Dhorassoo
20. V.Meyde – Rui Costa (that's what I think)
21. Kily/Cesar/Janku – Serginho
22. Vieri – Shevchenko
23. Adriano – Crespo
24. Martins – Inzaghi (that's what I feel)
25. Recoba – Tomasson
26. Cruz – Pozzi

Players by players comparison is not the way to compare them. You have to take account that Milan's midfield has been there since 02/03, with the exception of Kaka. They have had continuity and consistency for 2 years. We can't beat that unless we are given the same amount of time. Plucking and putting new pieces to the midfield will only mean that it has to start from scratch.
