Between Icardi's misses and offsides we could have been 4-0 up. We also hit the woodwork.

This was far better from a creative point of view than the vast majority of Inter matches from earlier in the season.

Despite being the home team, milan showed a rather defensive mindset (basically their plan was to wait for us to move forward so that they could strike on the counter). With this in mind, I'd say we played reasonably well. We were always in control of the game and managed to create some clear goalscoring chances without losing our balance (they had their chances, sure, but they were all rather random if you ask me). Keep in mind that milan played better against juve and lost that game only because juve scored 3 goals out of 4 shots. Unfortunately Icardi let us down on the worst possible time, but that's football and we can't really hold it against him considering how many times he's bailed us out of trouble in the past.
Our wide players were also very wasteful with their crosses, we threw away too many potential opportunities for lack of precision. Also, our changes did once again underline our need for better backups, especially if we want to play European football next season.
Now we are 2 points above Lazio and 1 behind Roma with 8 games to play; it's going to be tough, but the team has started playing better lately and this should certainly give us some confidence.

To be honest we started well and have no one but ourselves to blame for dropping two points not only did we miss sitters, spalletti changes were depressing, I dislike Candreva but he was good today, brining eder was like playing a man down (atleast candreva in his worst moments tracks back and asists in defence) Maybe he could have put karamoh at the final minutes, the boy has pace and can add some unpredictability in our attack. Anyways the match ended and we dropped two points but we have a golden chance in the other matches so Forza Inter!
