Muh, if Milito does not start (which is very likely), I'd be more tempted to give Cou a shot at first-team action... Not saying he will make THE difference, but it'll give him something to dream about (line-up in the derby) and I'm convinced he can contribute more than Pandev.

I agree that Coutinho is a better option, but I don't want to see his legs getting frozen from the crowd(get scared). Pandev is far better than him in important matches and can produce much more with his experience. I said that this formation(4-2-3-1) is the perfect for bbilan and after the 60 minute, Coutinho can enter the field fresh against Abate/antonini who will be tired, so coutinho can rape him up and down the field.

Tests will be needed to ascertain the extent of the problem to his right thigh.
If Chivu is also ruled out, then the centre-backs against Milan could be Ivan Cordoba and veteran Marco Materazzi.

Giampaolo Pazzini requires tests for an injury to his wrist picked up during the 1-0 victory in Slovenia.

The striker hit the woodwork with his half-volley in last night’s Euro 2012 qualifier in Ljubljana.

It is reported Pazzini was taken to a clinic by chief Italy medic Enrico Castellacci for in-depth tests on his left wrist.

Inter forward Pazzini picked up a knock during the game and wants to exclude any micro-fractures.

Italy's next game is on Tuesday against Ukraine for an international friendly in Kiev.

Tests excluded fractures, so Giampaolo Pazzini stays with the Italy squad, as Cesare Prandelli confirms he won’t call any new players for Ukraine.

Striker Pazzini was taken to hospital for x-rays on his left wrist this afternoon, having picked up a knock during last night’s 1-0 win over Slovenia.

Fractures were excluded and the Inter forward will therefore remain with the squad for Tuesday’s friendly in Kiev.
There were reports that Prandelli would call in Mario Balotelli for this game, as he had been dropped for the Euro 2012 qualifier.

Balotelli and Daniele De Rossi were frozen out after breaking the code of ethics by receiving bans for violent conduct with their clubs.

“The idea is to make many changes so that I can evaluate the whole squad,” said Prandelli, who ruled out bringing in any extra players.

“I’ll tell you the starting XI on Monday. Balotelli is a player of great talent, so when he starts to show that consistently then he'll be taken into consideration.”
