So Branca, are we just gonna sift through the portfolio's of the managers we had discussions with prior to Gasp's appointment and just hope/pray they are still interested ?

Where do you start looking for a manager now ? ..... I know, lets just find out out which cheap manager has been recently sacked for poor results and hire him ! :palm:

Branca. Moratti.

Look what you have done. You have already fired your No. 1 Scapegoat, so this season could really be a long one, hey? Who would want to coach Inter? I know I personally do, but what professional would want to walk into the current situation, with us having had management issues with the LAST 3 coaches in the last 2 years. No support from Branca and Moratti, no money to spend, they will sell the star player from under your nose, they will offer your other star player up until the end of the transfer window.

People need to wake up, fast. Imagine if Sneijder had been sold on the last days of the market. No replacement, because none is needed. We have Poli (on loan and injured, but hey, we have him) and Obi. Get real. Yes Poli will be great in 4 years. But we need someone for the next 4 years before we can think about Poli replacing them!

Jesus, what a game for Zanetti's record as well.

I'll say it again, we needed to: not sell Eto'o, reinforce the core of the team, another CB who is more agile than Ranoc, a modern day Cordoba would be great, another CM who is pure energy, and can provide something for the team in defense or going forward.

Of course, I recommended Moussa Sissoko, but his name ain't Ricky Alvarez (who again, could be very good in 4 years).

Seeing as we did sell Eto'o, we now need a replacement. Yeah, Zarate and Forlan. Right. Maybe if they weren't signed at the end of the transfer window, and had a real preseason with the team... I also said Branca and Moratti should lay off doing transfer deadline deals, but hey, they are penny pinchers, they can't resist.

I think we can get Pavlyuchenko from Tottenham on the cheap. Will he be inconsistent? Probably. Will he get injured? Eventually. Would he add physicality to our attack? Yes.

Inter does not have to worry about FFP, because it doesn't look like we will be in European competition!

I hope everyone gets it now. Moratti is cashing in, and needs to be replaced. ASAP.

so fucking true, FFP my ass.

It just pisses me off to see him lie and make excuses like that. If you don't want to invest in the team any more say so. If you are cashing out, just admit it. He is trying to pay off the money Inter owes HIM, and then he will sell. Mark my words.

He is telling everyone, oh its FFP, other teams will be caught out on the counterattack, not us. Yeah, some teams in Turin (dirty word!) built a stadium and are gonna make all kinds of money from this day forward, but we have a strategy to sell assets, and reduce costs by signing inexpensive replacements, such as Forlan and Zarate in place of Eto'o and Pandev (who we still own, BTW!). That is the Moratti strategy, and its a strategy for a team with no ambition, and trying to coolly and quietly sink down to 3 or 4th in the league, permanently. I would mention Juve here, but they have increased revenue when Inter has completely failed to do so (even selling Eto'o barely made us any money, esp. if you consider the decrease in competitiveness we are witnessing and what that will cost us). I would mention Milan 08/09 here, but remember, they signed a certain Thiago Silva and a young kid named Pato or something, right around that time. They signed Ibrahimovic this summer for $25m measly dollars, and while we SOLD our best player, and not even for very much!

I cannot support this MISmanagement any longer. Moratti, please stop using FFP as an excuse, or I will call you out on it each and every time. I guarantee you I could personally do Inter's financial statements and come up with less than $45m deficit over 3 years. Oh, but maybe thats the problem, isn't it, Moratti. Because FFP says you have to invest EQUITY, not debt? Is that why you can no longer afford to invest in the team?

The fail occurred last summer, as much as this summer. Last season should have been a transition, a year for blooding youngsters. Didn't happen. No new signings. We have sold Ibrahimovic, Balotelli, and Eto'o in the last 3 years. Justify that to me without using the three letters FFP, please, Moratti.

He cant invest more money because his primary source of income ie the billion dollars that has been spent in the last decade or so comes from SARAS. And they are doing shit now.

If you guys think that MM likes being 3rd-4th in the table, then its you who needs to be fired as Interisti.

SARAS: Total assets: $3.9 billion EUROS.
Total liabilities: 2.6 billion euros.

Saras has spent 900m in the last 4 years on Capital Assets. A capital asset is something which is supposed to provide future cash flows. If something costs 900m you better hope it earns 900m+.

Yeah, they are broke alright. Financial statements, legal documents, gotta love em. Amazing when things in reality are different than we have been led to believe, isn't it? Cognitive dissonance usually sets it, and it makes us angry at the messenger. So please, tell me more about how hurting SARAS is. Yeah, the share price has been beat up a bit, but that is the stock market the world over. It has not affected any other team, as far as I can tell.

So if you invest 900m Euros in something, you expect it to give you returns from day 1? Cmon, you are way smarter than that.

How's this for a stat, year on year from 2009 to 2010, the % difference in net profit has been -113%. So if you made say 100 Euros in 2009, you have lost 113 euros in 2010.

Also only a retard will forget that he has invested more than a billion euros in our club. I hope you dont turn into one, because I have faith in you. However he has not taken back a single penny, so its not debt, equity or what not for him, its just an expense. Share prices falling means his valuation goes down too, doesnt it? Euro struggling, the whole European Economic Structure struggling, he cant even just make money of interest of his past savings.. thats not what a business man would like to do. I'm pretty sure he owns some shares of a lot of other companies and as you said, even their value is down right now, so its not that he has a lot of sources of income.

If he wants the club to support itself in the future, is it wrong? What's negative about it? Whats the point of giving salaries in excess of your revenue? I mean Eto himself can guarantee you CL football but whats the point if you cant play in it due to the regulation? What team is not affected by it? Even Man City got Etihad to save them.

Jube built a stadium and started that process just before Calciopoli. As things stand they might qualify for the CL but wont be able to play in it. They are at -95.5m. We are reported to be closer to breaking even now, not that I like how it was acheived but it is necessary for the future of the club. Again, if MM was just happy to make a profit out of Inter, Inter would not be Pazza Inter. We would not take the risk of sacking coaches left, right and center and breaking transfer records in the past. We are signing deals with sponsors such as Turkish Airlines, Suissegas and I can bet the next renewal with Pirelli will be a big one, because its one of the few ways left to pump money. I cant believe that I have to explain that this man has paid bonuses out of his own pocket to players, expensive watches and what not to keep them happy.

Also last time I checked real estate was cheaper in Turin than in Milan. The regulations were different. Building a new stadium is financially not feasible, not to mention politically not possible unless we move to a different city where we can. Even Jube tore the Delle Empty down and dint spend on the land.

MM is not happy with 3rd or 4th place, he woudnt bother otherwise. Yes he's being a little cheap now, but not out of his own will, its because its necessary. Sometimes I feel Interisti need an owner like the ones at Man United, who bought the club with the clubs money(via debts, loans). Nobody remembers the fact that all the biggies that are buying club are nowhere close to being as big a fan as MM is for Inter. He does it from his heart, they just do it for their ego's.

If you still want a high spending club, www.mcfc.co.uk

Complain about him believing in Branca, or us not reading the rules of CL registration or us hiring Rafa, dont complain about MM not investing in this club. He has invested tonnes of cash, passion, time, heartache...you name it.

You are defending your beliefs, I am trying to stick to facts here. My only conjecture is that all the evidence suggests that Moratti is content taking money out of the club at the moment. That winning the CL has contented him, placated him. We should have reinforced last summer. We didn't. This year we got Alvarez, Nagatomo, Poli, Jonathan, Zarate, and Forlan. But they seem like secondary signings, additional signings, not core signings. Kinda like, "Hey, a good deal on Poli came up, wanna take it?"

Poli was no one's first choice to beef up Inter's midfield, that is for sure. Zarate, Forlan, the same could be said of them.

Our strategy is that of decreasing ambition. There is no denying it. We are Milan 08/09 meets Arsenal. :)

the special one
mm obviously cares. theres no way anyone can justify that he dosent. he is making future investments in poli, naga, johnny, ricky and zarate. i think he trying to make a lasting team of champions in a barcelona fashion. i also strongly believe that this summer mercato will be filled with similar signings. im not totally against it but some of them will fail, this is when we will truely see if mm cares about the club or not.

if he spends on some more youngsters(18-20 bar neymar) in 2-3 years when we have holes from failed signing and aging player then it will be obvious to see that his interest has started to fade because he is not willing to pay the extra buck for a well rounded squad. if he signs some real quality WHERE IT IS NEEDED (filling the holes by our failed gamble on younger signings/aging players) then we will know he got smart and is actually building another dream team. we dont need to be man city and by who ever we want whenever we want anymore. we can build a winning squad again but if we want do to be winning with a lasting, brewed together, squad not a bunch of fucking mercenaries then its going to be an elongated process. (id rather be man u then man city)

he is spending money, but the sale of etoo is a mystery for us all to ponder as we watch our squad crawl our way back up the standings. but there no denying that something fishy is happening in the head of our owner. a lot of people on this forum are quick to make judgements and at the time they make sense and this is the place to get your thoughts out there so you can compare them to other interpretation of the events unfolding in milan with our beloved team of black and blue. we need to think in broader terms in means of time. ya we are not signing the falcaos and g. rossis of the world but we are buying quality for the future. granite some wil fail.

I gave you the facts, you are telling me your beliefs :)

MM is not taking any money or making any money out of the club, even in the future if we make profits, those will be spent on Inter, not on MM, knowing him.

Yes we arent signing our first priority players but theres no way we would spend more than 10-15m on any player and the last player above that amount was a certain Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Even Wesley was close to 15m. But Banega was rumored at 20million, Lavezzi for 25m and 45m for Tevez. There was no way we could afford that even pre-FFP..

Also it is your belief that the ambition is missing, I dont think so, but without balancing our books, those ambitions are meaningless and theoretically and realistically impossible. That is why we are giving it a priority.

Look, a club can go a lot of different routes. You can try to buy success, you can try to build it. You can sell quality players for a few dollars and replace them on the cheap. You can limit your ambitions for a few years in order to rebuild a squad of aging veterans and promising youngsters. Or you can become Liverpool.

About Inter's financials, what I wouldn't give to be able to look at the real financial statements and bank statements. But that doesn't seem particularly likely, any time soon. So we can safely assume that most of the money that Inter owes (other than money still owed for Muntari, etc.) it owes to Moratti and other directors.

When a player like Eto'o is sold you can assume it is because there is debt maturing, and instead of 'rolling' it they paid it off with Eto'os transfer fee/wage savings.

If you think its debt, then I dont have to explain. There arent any loans. I have the financial statements, check your dm.

Excuse me, but how the hell you achilles think Moratti is taking ANY MONEY, a single euro out of Internazionale football club? He hasn't took any money from the club and won't do that ever, that is one thing I'm 100% sure. Inter is his passion (saying a hobby would be an understatement), he isn't going to hurt his passion by decreasing its ability to give him more joy.

Believe in Hope and Change! Out of respect for everything Barack Obama has done (to?) for America, we shouldn't talk shit about him.

Wait, there's something wrong with that sentence above... Obama SHOULD be criticized, we SHOULD talk shit about him. Am I missing something?

Branca is Moratti's toadie. He is a yes man. Thats why he got the job, thats how he kept the job, thats why he will still be in the job tomorrow. It is not possible to give praise to Moratti, but reserve criticism for Branca. That is just idiotic, IMO, as Moratti is the one giving the final 'thumbs up, thumbs down' to ANY transaction Inter enters into.

Selling Eto'o, keeping Muntari and Chivu, but loaning out Pandev? Getting rid of all three makes sense, or the first two, but keeping the deadweight and shipping off the ATLEAST useful Pandev just reeks of incompetence and greed.

Moratti is settling. Give me an example of an owner that started settling for mediocrity and then a few years later decided to splash the cash again, and was successful. Please. I would love to hear it. Because thats never happened, to my knowledge. Once an owner, like Ken Bates, former Chelsea owner, decides to settle for mediocrity thats IT. Until a new owner/consortium comes in.
