He's on fire, future star for sure. I hope we can get him back somehow.

I wish we all had this much confidence when it came to OUR players. Our guys could have 10 great games in a row and the majority of people just say it was lucky and when he has that one bad game...oh boy do we let him have it. Then for the next 10 great games everyone says, ya right remember that shit game?!

Ehh calm down he could always just be another Acquafresca or Bonucci, highly touted then fading into nothing.

I know that this is not trendy to say but would like to have Bonucci. He is a starting material at a Serie A-top team and we lost him him for how much (1-2 million?)

+ he is the "twin" of Rano. He is better than Chivu or Cordoba and would be a long-time useful squad-member.

Comparing him to Acquafresca...

1. Acquafresca was never the star of the youth teams like Destro was for Italy for example. He did great at U21 level, but not much elsewhere.

2. Acquafresca's career has been slightly ruined by the fact that he has been used as a make-shift in so many deals. And who knows, he might bounce back.

What the issue with Destro is, that we must do if we should buy him, there is no point bringing him to Inter before 2013. He is starting to look like a good goalscorer this season, then it would be good to see how he does when he is expected to score a lot of goals, in the same team he was in last season. And already when buying him we'd know he wouldn't have much of a chance, Milito, I doubt will leave next season.

I always felt we were completely wrong to give 50% of his contract away. There was and still is more reason to believe he'll turn into a big team goalscorer than become an average Serie A striker. He had great record for our youth team, he had great record for Italy's youth teams. Now he is doing well in Serie A.

And mind you, he is 20. We basically gave him up when he was 18 and banging in goals left and right on youth level... very bad decisions imo, even if we did need to get Ranocchia in. Makes me afraid for the futures of the likes of Daniel Bessa too... we already gave away half of Crisetig's contract to Parma too.

But I hope he will not go to Juve. That'd be a disaster.

Juve loves to buy italian striker lately, from Toni, Quagliarella, Matri, Giaccherini, no doubt they will make a move for Destro in future, unless Inter do something, like buying back his 50% ownership, until he's proven to be regular goalscorer in Serie A, then he will replace Milito and Pazzini as his mentor

lately ?

Juve prefers Italians over foreigners.

edit: Like Barca does with Catalans.

Destro is MUCH more skill-full than Acquafresca. I mean he can dribble. Acqua is a Pazzo-type finisher. Destro is more complete striker.

We should have held 50 % of him.

In defense to Zarate he plays best at SS not out wide, he has hardly gotten to play and when he was it was durring the 343 formation and when we had injuries and both. With sniejder at his disposal and playing upfront and center would be the diff maker.

We have decided to keep him and Ranieri himself says he has plans for him and thinks he is an amazing player, if only he would play him where he should be and would rotate Milito or Pazzini for targetman then we could start seeing goals galore, not scoring many goals on little teams but the midtable and top teams. Speed and creativity is whats needed upfront, we already have finesse, finish and an airial attack covered with Milito or Pazzini.

Rumours say that we are still considering him as an option for the future. Guess it's up to himself now, according to his evolution and development. But the boy sure looks promising!
