Bolton Wanderers are understood to have made a contract offer to Internazionale midfielder Matias Almeyda.
The 30-year-old Argentine is out of contract in the summer and Bolton are one of the first clubs to make contact with him.

It is believed they have offered Almeyda a year's deal with an option to prolong the deal.

Almeyda had considered retiring earlier this season, but now he is ready to continue playing.

Bolton are not the only club to have made an offer as Turkish giants Galatasaray are also believed to have been in touch with Almeyda.

Well since the thread is still open then maybe Almeyda should leave. We are (seemingly) getting Cambiasso and Facchetti has ana option on Baseggio. Maybe we should get him and sell off Lamouchi, Almeyda, and Farinos? Or send Biava on loan as well as keep Beati on loan?

As it seems that Cambiasso will definitely join Inter, and there are players like Biava, Farinos around, I don't want Almeyda's contract is extended ....... And I don't think Inter will renew his contract as well

Almeyda doesnt stink...U guys rate player based on one bad performance and then they are bad....Almeyda has given us really good games,too bad he doesnt play alot but he has been solid many times when called upon even if coming back straight from an injury or after a long time of being benched.Nobody has perfect games all the time.

Well, he's gone. I'll miss him, he was crazy but a good player, and a very committed one. He almost killed Corradi during Lazio vs Inter last year!

He didn't move to another Italian club as some rumours were suggesting, he's going back to Argentina, since he won't have any chance to play with Inter.

I remember he was one of the best midfirlders in Serie A when he played for Lazio.I have no idea what happend to him that he become avarage player with is good only for bench.I was little scare that Mancini will want to keep him since it's another his friend since they played in one team.It's good for us that he left.

It's nice to see that not everyone here dislikes Almeyda. Many thought that he agreed to cancel his contract so he could move to another Serie A team, but he didn't. And I always knew he wouldn't, he said that he loved Inter a lot, and he wanted to win something with them. When he was told that there was no room for him, he went back to Argentina. I really admire him for that.
