He didn't move to Croatia until he was 13, so it seems like he would have a Austrian passport.

Wow, this really came out of nowhere and it was a very brave and risky move but potentially a great one.

I do see Kovačić as a top talent but the price is no joke for guy who is not so close to contributing right away. So, temper you expectations a bit guys.

Did we get our own Jack Whilshire or Thiago Alcantara? Maybe, but it's just to early to say although his experience at such a young age is impressive. Let's wait and see how he copes at the top level week in and week out. I myself don't expect anything special at least until the 2014.-2015. season, or even 2015.-2016.

I'm cautiously optimistic about the guy and the club is worrying me more. I just hope we don't a find a way to ruin or make his development tough.

Pereira could be a good signing if he played in his natural position, not as a winger. And constantly, not in one game out of five.
So we just need to switch to fucking 4 at the back and we should be fine. JZ-Rano-JJ-Pereira. That way we'll have room for more creativity in the midfield, but also a more stable play (Better possession=Better defense).

And yes I would pick Pereira over Naga cause he's better defensively!
