I think Real is willing to part with Illaramendi for less than that, they probably just want to loan him not sell. I was curious about his situation since Real fans seem to have soured on him for his lack of defensive play and how he looks on the field compared to his Real counterparts. I have no idea where Inter suddenly found the money to buy all these players, but that makes me think that certain players will get sold - not necessarly Kova. Since Kova said he is staying, Mancini said he is staying and Thohir likes to say that Icardi and Kovačić are our new core, I will rather believe Kova will stay unless if a crazy offer comes for him.

But selling players we do not need should be our priority and right now I am sure Kova will stay because there is no need to worry about FFP this season.

Might be inferring too much from this post, but are you implying that the strategy would be to sell after we qualify for CL next season, if that happens, so that we wouldn't be penalised so heavily next season? Sounds like a risky strategy, the pressure would be on to add MORE depth with european competition, the players would be less likely to want to leave, and we'd be fucked by FFP if we only qualify for EL. I don't have the knowledge or understanding of the FFP regulations to say for sure that we'd have to sell next season, but surely we wouldn't be able to spend a ton of money on players to get us into europe next season but not be penalised just because we're not in europe the season before.

Mancini doesent want Mateo, he prefred this shit of Brozovic. He never will play from start, there is a reason why Kovacic goes and Brozovic - Imbula are in the team.

if kovacic is sold this summer, it will only happen in the last minutes of mercato. i think aussilio and co will have to prioritize to offload all the unneccessary players and see how much money they can generate. if this scenario fails then they could consider selling kova,as the last resort. i read it somewhere that the reason we could do crazy spending this summer is because of thohir himself. he is rumoured to inject some cash out of his own pocket. risking the FFP sanction but expects to recover it if we could get CL ticket.

Making purchases early and leaving sales until late is definitely the way to go - allow new players to settle in, and more likely to get a team to panic and overspend (Liverpool have a history of doing this - Carrol!!). Downside is I'll be fretting about Kovacic until deadline day is done.

So many risks here. No one it seems is comfortable with a Kova sale...maybe that Inter2010 prick whose every post read "OVERRATED PLAYER". Thohir and Mancini will face immense pressure to show that kova was worth sacrificing for these new guys. Imbula and Kondogbia also face pressure and pretty much have to perform well right off the hop. If they don't we'll surely hear the "players a & b need time to adapt" bullshit. I thought that Brozovic and kova showed legitimate improvement together in the last few weeks, why fuck that up? Inter is why.
