Yeah, these figures are intended to merely keep the rich oil sheik clubs (And Chelski) from simply meeting enormous buyout clauses and circumventing negotiations...I've never considered buyouts to mean anything really, it's more of a symbolic designation, IMHO

I know all the marketing people of the mall, I know almost all the retailers there. IF I KNEW THIS before, I'm pretty sure I'd have got myself a freaking- VIP invite and pictures with MM, Toldone and Figo.

My point exactly man. I mean, in 2-3 years, who knows, some even crazier sheik may be willing to match that figure and give Messi 1 M per week, then you're fucked, aren't you?

No idea...Every played can be had if someone meets a price that a club determines is 'enough'...And, of course, providing the player wants to leave

CR wanted to leave ManYoo so the buyout was almost irrelevant as you can't really keep a player who is already wanting to be someplace else...Although, apparently Wenger is trying to do that with Cesc now

If Leo decides he wants to give Italy or anywhere else a go at some point in the future, no buyout clause will keep him from going...In particular at a club like Barca where they never keep players who show an inclination to leave

I think Leo is, at the moment, intent on trying to make history with titles etc. at Barca...Should they go 2 or 3 seasons with nothing to show for it, I think we could see him become unsettled

A stark contrast from when Ronaldinho was here and nearly every summer was the 'fear' that he was going to move someplace else...Hence, the constant contract renegotiations

Does Moratti speak English, or do you speak Italian?

Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to chat with him because he was surrounded with bodyguards, organizers and fans so for each photo you only have like 10-15 seconds max to do it all. I used my basic Italian to communicate with him anyway.

The funny part which unfortunately we couldn't capture is me singing his coro (un presidente, c'è solo un presidente... which translates to there's only one president in English) when he entered the mall with his entourage. He was astonished to hear that and he approached me to shake hands with a big smile on his face. I also sang (chi non salta rossonero è è) while jumping and he was very surprised to hear that coro to the extent that he was looking around for the source until he found me again.

I also shock hands with Paolillo and he talked to me in English.
