Every word he said in that interview sounds like music to my ears. :star:

Moratti reveals Inter regrets
Saturday 14 January, 2006
Inter patron Massimo Moratti confesses his regrets about 11 years of leading his beloved club through thick and thin.

“Do I regret any of my decisions at Inter? Perhaps the first I ever made – taking charge of the club in the first place!” he joked. “All the others followed on from that.”

Oil baron Moratti’s father took this side to the European Cup in the 1960s, but since he has been at the helm they have spent over £100m and won just one UEFA Cup, a Coppa Italia and an Italian Super Cup.

“I have to say that sometimes you realise after a while that you have made a mistake, but if you make those decisions at the time then it’s because circumstances have put you in that position,” he told Antenna 3 television.

Moratti’s popularity has wavered over the years and he eventually gave up the Presidency to former Nerazzurri legend Giacinto Facchetti.

“I don’t regret this experience, as it’s nice to have such responsibility in your life and it was certainly a pleasure in that respect. However, as the results weren’t great, I don’t know if this brought pleasure to others. Once you divorce, you start to wonder if it was better never to get married at all.”

The patron still holds the purse strings at the San Siro and confirmed reports Inter were looking to offer Francesco Toldo to Fiorentina in exchange for the loan of Valeri Bojinov.

“It’s a transfer that makes sense, as they need a goalkeeper and we are missing a striker,” he added.

Let's just hope he won't be selling his shares to anyone.

What he basically said is that he's sorry that all the efforts done didn't result in a win, and that probably a portion of the fans wished he never took charge.

And he was only joking about regretting buying Inter in the first place. On the contrary he's probably happy because he bought the club. Thanks Massimo for buying it. :proud:

It's as big as a joke as saying that my only regret is supporting Inter in the first place and thus I receive all this bull$hit from Inter like the EuroDerbies, 0-2 to 3-2 Derby, 0-1 Empoli in San Siro, etc etc.

But it doesn't mean that I could have chosen other clubs that Inter nor does it mean that I can abandon Inter. Inter chose you, not vice versa, and once you're attached, there is no turning back. :proud:

100 % right, there's no way out... You keep on suffering :p:p We aren't as "lucky" as the people that got picked out by Milan or Juve...

But anyway:

Forza Inter per sempre :star:

I really wonder why the Inter fans based in Italy are so much against Moratti ?

Maybe they compare him to Berlusconi:wallbang:

Dr Moratti, what's your opinion of this never-ending polemic with Juventus?
"It's incredible. Whether they're right or wrong, their attitude is intolerable. They love behaving like this, but in doing so they arouse dislike and annoyance. I honestly believe that every Inter fan thinks the same thing."

Have you ever asked yourself why they are like this?
"I don't know. Ask them."

Have you tried talking with anyone from Juventus?
"I have just returned from a working trip. They have time to waste and they do these things. I don't."

Have you anything to add regarding the Figo matter?
(Moratti smiles) "There's an investigation now. It's very important... So we won't talk about it..."

Is there anything in particular that irritates you about Juventus' attitude?
"Their whole attitude is irritating. It is absolutely unacceptable. Absolutely."

Err, any Moratti bashers left?

Big up, Massimo!

Yeah she is his sister. If she was his wife one could think what the hell is she doing with Facchetti all the time. :D

Hey guys, all the suffering we have felt has only made the journey more memorable. Truly, the day we win the long-awaited prize would be the sweetest yet. In the meantime, we can only sit in this rollercoaster ride through life called Inter that promises heartbreak, sadness, anger, but also happiness, joy, elation and love.

Ciao,
Tim
