To be fair the host of the show is an interista too, also it looks like moratti is just playing along so i dont see the big deal.

I think it s safe to say that the guy who refuses to attend games in torino for almost 20 years is not really rooting for jube.

Also in the interview he says he does not care since jube winning it does not mean we re losing it and eventually sombody will repeat our success anyways. He also added that he wont be watching the game.

I think that Moratti should become a president of inter again. At least we will know that he did its best.

That is a part of Joan Laporta, former Barcelona president, interview to Guardian:

The other thing Guardiola doesn’t have, of course, is the player he most needs: Lionel Messi. “Don’t give him ideas,” Laporta jokes, but he has no doubts over the Argentinian’s future with a contract renewal imminent. As president, there was only one moment he feared Messi departing and that has long gone. “It was 2006 when Inter made an offer,” he explains. “They were prepared to pay the €150m buy-out clause, which is why we [later] raised it to €250m, but I always felt reassured by my relationship with his dad, Jorge.

I didn't know Moratti was actually willing to pay his release clause to get him.

Massimo Moratti believes Luciano Spalletti is the right man to lead Inter, but admits he “didn’t expect” so much Milan transfer activity.

The former Nerazzurri President is no longer part of the club, but “I keep informed on what they do and they are very courteous with me,” as he explained on Radiouno.

“We always have Jose Mourinho in mind as the example of an ideal Inter Coach. I can say Spalletti has great character and is a serious professional.

“You need a few professional reference points and Borja Valero represents that. I think Inter have the frightening need to improve their defence, while in attack I hope Mauro Icardi can start to express himself consistently. He’s got what it takes, but has to prove it in the difficult games.

“It would be nice to see him accompanied by another great striker, but these decisions are up to the Coach, just as they would’ve been even if I had still been President.”

The summer has been dominated by Inter’s cousins Milan, who after their Chinese takeover have splashed €211m and counting on the market.

“Milan are moving very well and to be honest I didn’t expect that,” continued Moratti.

“I don’t know some of the players they signed, while they did well to resolve the Gianluigi Donnarumma issue and have a good Coach in Vincenzo Montella.

“Leonardo Bonucci used to be with Inter, so now seeing him play for Juventus or Milan makes no difference. Juve always seem to make very wise signings and we’ll have to see if they can overcome the blow of that Champions League Final defeat.”

Moratti: ‘Rossi was a visionary’
By Football Italia staff

Former Inter President Massimo Moratti calls Guido Rossi “a visionary” and says he never spoke to him during the Calciopoli scandal.

The lawyer was appointed the FIGC’s Extraordinary Commissioner after Franco Carraro stepped down shortly before the 2006 World Cup.

His committee revoked two Scudetti from Juventus in the Calciopoli scandal, with punishments also given out to Fiorentina, Milan, Lazio, Reggina and Arezzo.

However, he became a controversial figure for Juve fans after it emerged that he was a member of the Inter board between 1995 and 1999, with some alleging bias after the 2005-06 title was awarded to the Nerazzurri.

Yesterday it was confirmed that Rossi had passed away, and his old friend paid tribute to him today.

“He’s someone who will be missed,” Moratti, Beneamata President at the time, told Corriere della Sera.

“We met for professional reasons, he was an educated and sophisticated jurist, a free man and a great intellectual. Then there was also Inter.

“He had a creative intelligence, he was capable of being solid and he was a visionary. He could solve problems and always said intelligent things.

“Guido was someone who studied and got to the substance of things, being with him was a pleasure, you’d always learn something.

“He was someone who got called in difficult times, he made a courageous decision with the national team at a difficult time. He sent Marcello Lippi to Berlin and Italy won a historic World Cup.”

He also awarded the Scudetto to Inter…

“Do you know we never spoke during that time? Guido had great intellectual honesty, and our friendship was also based on respect.

“There were people of law around him, he’d called [Cesare] Ruperto and [Francesco Saverio] Borrelli to the Federation.

“When he left the chair he told me: ‘You know, you were the only President who never called me…’

“Not even for advice? Nothing. I repeat, Guido was an extraordinary person, the first Italian to graduate from Harvard.

“Friendship is a private matter based on esteem and affection. My wife Milly and I shared visions and projects with him, often talking about the city [Milan] we were so proud of.”

Moratti: 'Mourinho regrets Inter exit'

Massimo Moratti reveals Jose Mourinho “regretted” leaving Inter for Real Madrid before he’d even made the move blames stars for the 2002 Scudetto defeat.

The former Nerazzurri patron spoke at the presentation of a new book on his 20 years at the club.

“I don’t miss Inter, because I never left it. I returned to being what I was before, in other words a fan, whether at the stadium or in front of the television. I am happy with the way things are going right now.”

Inter are top of the Serie A table and visit Juventus this evening in the Derby d’Italia, but the high point of Moratti’s history was the Treble in 2010: Scudetto, Champions League and Coppa Italia.

“That Champions League Final was the end of a journey and as Interisti we appreciated the difficulties of getting there more than the final result. After all, we couldn’t even celebrate it to the full, because after Mourinho left so soon afterwards.

“A year beforehand, Mourinho had told me that there was interest from Real Madrid. Then it was repeated. You cannot keep people prisoner, but it certainly wasn’t nice to see (Real Madrid President Florentino) Perez waiting in the car for Mou outside the Champions League Final at the Bernabeu.

Mourinho himself regretted it even before he had made the move: a few hours later, in my office in Milan, he told me that he realised he was going to a business and not a family. Mourinho said that if he could, he would’ve remained at Inter.

“I told him to make his choices in absolute freedom. His tears upon leaving were real and I am pleased that still to this day he says he supports Inter.”

Inter take on Juventus tonight and famously lost the Scudetto to the Bianconeri on the final day of the 2001-02 season, falling 4-2 at Lazio.

“So many versions of those events have been told, but I can say with certainty that Lazio-Inter was lost during the week preceding it,” insisted Moratti.

“There was too much confidence from the most important players, too much certainty that Lazio would just roll over, with on the opposite end of the spectrum Hector Cuper wallowing in his negative predictions. We needed balance and calm. I tried to intervene, but the atmosphere had already been created.

“Of course it irritates me when people remember only Vlatislav Gresko’s errors, because that game was lost by the key players, the champions, the ones who were meant to lead the others.”

Former Inter President Massimo Moratti explains how he went to sign Eric Cantona, but “fell in love with Paul Ince” instead.

Moratti had some of the greatest players pass through San Siro, including Ronaldo, Samuel Eto’o and Diego Simeone, but there were also some near misses.

“The one who got away was Cantona. He’s a player and a person who I was crazy about. Fate made it so after watching him dozens of times on television, I went for the first time to attend Manchester United against Crystal Palace, the game where he kicked a fan in the chest.

“It was not a good gesture, but amid that chaos I fell in love with Paul Ince, who I already appreciated as a player. Ince was throwing himself at everyone, police, opponents, fans and stewards, to defend his teammate. It might be strange to say this, but in those fists flying I saw more desire to protect than to inflict violence.

“It’s no coincidence that then Ince came to Inter, while unfortunately for Cantona we never had the right timing. I visited him many times, but he had become tired of football after the ban and retired two years later.”

Midfielder Ince wore the Nerazzurri jersey from 1995 to 1997, scoring 13 goals in 73 competitive appearances.

I fucking LOVED you and everything you represented! I defended you when others talked shit about you! But, its in these moments, where im pissed at you!!
You couldn't help it but to bring inter to a point where you were forced to sell us, could you?
You left me and hundred thousands like me who worshiped you, to where i feel like an orphan now being left in the mercy of Chinese government, and bunch of people who can give two shits about us, to decide the faith of our beloved team!
Im so sick, never felt such powerless in my entire life of loving this team, and dont know who to turn to anymore to cry for help for my beloved Inter :mad:

Exclusive: Moratti takes a dig at Spalletti & praises Icardi

Former Inter president Massimo Moratti has released an exclusive interview with our very own Pasquale Guarro.

Inter are without a win in the last seven games. They are doing bad after an excellent start to the season. What’s your thought on this?
“It’s not my job to identify the problem, the only thing I know is that this is not the first time that this happens. With Stramaccioni, for example, there were many injuries. The situation of Mancini and Spalletti is actually very similar. They did well till Christmas, than troubles began.”

Do you think there are issues in the locker room?
“I don’t think is as simple. Probably yes. The main problem is that this team has no consistency anymore.”

Would Pastore turn things around?
“I don’t know, I expect to see a reaction from who is already in the team, rather than a new signing. The team is strong, players have quality but players need to do more. Sometimes it looks like there are problems of personality. Players must be braver, must try to dribble and do something more than a simple short pass.”

What about Spalletti? Do you think he expected something else from the club?
“The team is very strong, there are very good players at Inter. It’s his job to find a solution for this, that’s what they pay him for.”

What do you think of Icardi? Do you think someone is unhappy with his captaincy?
“I don’t see why this should happen. He is proud of having his role at Inter and is the player who does the most important thing: he scores goals.”

Are you impressed by Skriniar and Cancelo?
“Skriniar is a very solid defender, I don’t think he has only impressed me. Cancelo was not playing at the beginning but he is showing his qualities now.”

Inter, Moratti; "Suning has a project, lets see if it becomes a reality."

Former Inter President Massimo Moratti has been speaking to Rai about the current negative situation surrounding the club.
The Nerazzurri are without a win in eight games now after Saturday’s 1-1 home draw against Crotone.

Moratti remained upbeat however, and began by explaining that; “It’s clear that there is disappointment around the club at the moment because we were in such a strong position. Despite this, the team has played well and many people seem to have overlooked this.”

When it was put to him that this was not the first time that this had happened to the squad in recent years, Moratti was quick to suggest a solution.

“It’s obvious,” he stated, “It is up to the coach and his staff to rediscover the basis on which to rebuild.”

When asked about the clubs owners, Suning, Moratti explained that; “Their communication could be better but my esteemed colleague Zhang has realised that first of all, you have to suffer and that makes you grow even closer to the team.”

Finally, asked if he would ever return to the club in some capacity, Moratti was quick to explain that; “I would never allow myself to disturb the work of the Zhang family because I know they have great ideas to take the club forward.”

So they are not investing by choice so we can fail and they can grow closer to the team through suffering? :eek:blivious:
