I can't believe that some of you actually fell for that and took the knives out. By now we should know how twisted the media is and how they go for sensationalism rather than truth.

Next time there is a quote about Balotelli saying how much he loves and dreams of AC Milan, wait a little bit before you judge.

Man i mean no disrespect... But the reason why they boo him is cause he acts like an asshole every time he plays... He dives all over the place and always seems pissed off. Are you blind?

this is Santon's thread but this statement is ridiculous..
when did you start following Inter?

balotelli was targeted even when he was with the youth team and continued from there on..
it's basically a chain effect...
they realized he had a hot temper (like rooney, but not as bad), so they always tried to rile him up to get a reaction out of him...
his nonchalant reaction to this and disrespect towards opponents did not help and it has manifested to what we see today...

think about it for a second before you make such comments...

so a player acts like an asshole and dives....
does that really explain how an entire stadium would have a chant for balotelli TO DIE even when he is not playing in the stadium?
does that really make sense to you?

totti is a cunt and dives all the time....
who is chanting for totti to DIE?

i keep asking this but nobody wants to recall...
do you not remember in his first season, against Palermo @ the Renzo, and Mancini took off Balotelli after 30min...do you remember why?

Balo doesn't help himself but there is no doudt he gets targeted more because he is black.

Totti and cassano pretty much acted the same way when they were youngsters. But didn't get half the flack that balo does. A lot of that has to do with them not playing for inter and not being black.

listen to yourselves...

this shit happens everytime we come through a period where the media expects/hopes we lose but we win..
they were hoping for chelsea to beat us, so they could write that inter is shit in CL
they were hoping for udinese to beat us, so that milan could be "only 1 pt behind"

instead of waiting for reputable sources and proper translation, you "fans" go off...

this is so disgusting by you "fans"

it's like you are sitting at home HOPING that mario says/does something, so you can immediately run to this thread and type this shit..
the media feeds you something, and you just jump on it...

MARIO IS AN INTER PLAYER FFS!

disgusting

I believe I clearly said if he said those words. Sorry but balo's behaviour and past words makes me doudt him at times.

You must have your teams mixed up...

Mario has never played in the Renzo Barbera before. In fact he has only played against Palermo twice in his career and both were at home...

I believe you are thinking about the match at Torino where he came off after like 37 minutes...

I haven't logged on here since July 2008. :D

I just wanted to remind my boy Hamoudi how long I've been saying that Mario was going to be the future of Inter alongside Santon, and applaud my buddy moneymike on his fantastic work. This guy shares the same footballing brain as I, despite his never ending support for that fat loser Adriano.

Miss you guys. :D

Super Mario
Balotelli, a goal every 155 minutes
Mario's stats
The striker is the man of the day, between Inter and his place in the National side; not only he scored against Udinese, but he's put up some impressive numbers— 7 goals so far in the season, in a total of 1088 minutes on the pitch. He has been a starter only 9 times and has scored 6 goals. He was on the bench in both goalless matches for Mourinho's side
Mail Print OkNotizie Splinder badzu Facebook MILAN, 1 March 2010 - Mourinho is quiet and Balotelli takes the floor. Although he will still have to "mature at Inter and the U-21" as Lippi mentioned, Mario took a step forward against Udinese in his precocious ascent to the top of Italian football. It is not without obstacles, because his ascent seemed to go at lightning speed two seasons ago when he was scoring decisive goals for Mancini's last season title and it was hindered later on by "bad behaviour" or conflicts with the manager. However, Supermario is again a key factor in Inter's success, the man of the day and a serious candidate —manager permitting— for a place in the World Cup.

third top scorer — Including the goal scored on Handanovic, Mario has a tally of 7 goals so far in the league (a total of 9 this season); this number makes him the third top scorer in his squad (after Milito and Eto'o) although he has played much less than his two other team-mates. To be precise, he has spent 1088 on the pitch in a total of 20 matches; he was a starter in 9 of them and 16 earned him a Gazzetta vote (with an average of 6.31 points, a maximum of 8 and a minimum of 5). Mario is seventh in appearances, twelfth in minutes played and has played the entire 90 minutes only three times; he's been replaced in 6 out of the 9 matches where he was a starter and has come onto the pitch replacing other team-mates in 11 occasions, becoming Mourinho's first resource on the bench. There has only been one time when he had to watch the entire match from the bench. In total, he has scored a goal every 155 minutes of play.

impact of the scores — These numbers don't do justice to the striker's impact on his team, often modifying the squad's module to a more attack-prone 4-2-3-1. However, a few other stats may make this easier to see: in his 9 matches as a starter, Mario has scored 6 times (one of them a brace), Inter won 6 times, drew twice and lost once to Sampdoria. Without Mario, Mourinho's side has won 4 times and tied twice in their only goalless matches of the season (in Naples and at home against Sampdoria). Then, in Udine Mario regained his nickname of Super and more goals came along. Mourinho, in spite of the carrot dangled in front of him, is not ready to do without him. For now, Lippi is— Will it last?

Ronaldo, Figo
He scores lots of goals and he's not the reference point of the team.
But, I think his minutes are just sufficient for him. If he gets too much minutes, the pressure is a lot higher and he may crack..
Ballo is no doubt a very good player but he is also very young. It is wise to utilize him at the right proportion... and at inter, he gets just that. The intimidation of being the #1 striker is so high. Strikers with maturity and skills can cope that very well.
Milito and Etoo has both, and we can see that even Etoo needs to adapt.
Only very few strikers can shine here....
Ronaldo, Vieri, Crespo... and now we have Milito... Pandev and Etoo is progressing.

Baloteli needs 2-3 more years before he can take the burden of being #2 strikers here... and 3-4 years before he can take Zlatan's role... Being at Inter is probably his best option right now.

G10, good to hear from you!

Casiraghi praised Balotelli for his performance in today's 2-0 win against Hungary. Lippi also surprisingly said that Balotelli is a very nice lad. I think his slim chances to make it to the WC squad doubled the last week!

Balotelli won`t go to World Cup in South Africa. He has great abilities and in the near future he will be great star, but Lippi won`t call him for WC 2010.In my opinion Cassano & Balotelli should go to South Africa. Both of them are players who can win game only with one move...but on the other hand, Lippi doesnt want troublemakers in his team ..

As far as I'm concerned, Alessandro & Stefan are being the most reasonable regarding the whole issue.

I think the rest of you are being far too biased.

Yes he is targeted because of his colour.
But he brings most of it upon himself with his on-field display.

That's all I will say because I am sick to shit of repeating myself.

I am not sure about that anymore. If Amauri isn't selected (for passport or technical reasons) and Iaqunita isn't fit, I think Balotelli will have a greater chance. But as of late he is getting more endorsements to be selected. Casiraghi has blasted him in the past but is campaigning for him saying that he has grown.

And today I read Trapattoni saying that Balotelli has to start at Stamford Bridge and that he is the winning card. Maybe they know something more than us and maybe Balotelli is really growing (tough to say that from the Udi game.)

i wouldn't say "us"....say "me"

and obviously, since they are professional coaches with actual contact with the player, they know more than you..
is that hard to comprehend?
lol

anyways, since end of december till now, balotelli's game has improved immensely..

he is becoming increasingly efficient with fewer and fewer of useless dribbles..
he is working harder for the team
he is scoring and assisting very often
he is looking more dangerous everytime he gets the ball..

and lmao hamm...
a goal and assist in one half and that is still not enough....
btw, apart from lucio, in your opinion, who was better than balotelli against udinese?

i saw a couple of pics on inter.it where Eto and Mario were practicing.as we all know Eto is a very nice and a humble guy on and off the pitch(apart from that headbutt).he has gone through all those things that Mario is now facing.i hope Balo listens to what eto has to say and follow his footsteps
