I hope no one slanders Thuram.

Wake up, this is his level. Your management chose a player of sub-par quality and we have to live with the decision.

Is today’s game why he came for free? I hope not but he’s been poor for quite sometime.

Hasn’t looked in form since his return from the injury. Let’s be honest he probably was over performing a bit in the beginning with his finishing.

Thuram is a good player but he’s not a great goal scorer. It’s never really been his best attribute. The biggest issue is he looked exhausted today, not sharp at all.

Remember we were supposed to have both him and Lukaku in this squad. Think about the difference that would have made in the ability to rest him.

It's his first season in a big club and most of you cant tell me (including myself) that he didn't exceed your expectation. The "big teams" that he had faced probably were only Juve, Milan, Lazio, Napoli and Atletico and he scored against 4 of them except for Juve and Atletico. He has scored against Bayern, PSG and Madrid in the past too. Maybe wait for him to play against big teams before you make the judgment that he can't score in big games.

I really liked when he was acting as a target man and his little flicks/tricks in receiving the ball.

But it seemed like every time he passed he fucked it up.

I had to listen to everyone whine all summer that he couldn't score in the preseason. He has critical goals against Roma, Juventus, Milan, and Lazio. He's blown away even the highest of expectations.

This guy isn't a pure striker, and it often shows with his final product. He isn't supposed to be here to score goals. He's the link between the midfield and Lautaro, and also the main outlet on our counter attacks. Like thatdude said, he's being miscast but making the most of it.

Nobody likes him missing but me have to wait, Lautaro really started to score this season, Marcus is 26 also.

Maybe scoring is not his main job but as a second striker he must score 18-20 goals if we want chase for big trophies.

No. He doesn't have to score more. How he played was the problem. If he wasn't losing the ball all the time, we'd have more chances to score..

Cut him some slack, this is his first season in big club and he is doing great! And stop comparing him to fucking bum Lukaku, this guy contributed big time in games against rube, Lukaku was always invisible in games like that. Plus he's a cunt.

Nobody is saying he didn't contribute in big games so far. But there is a certain threshold he crossed with his yesterdays performance that he deserve all critiques he is getting. If he can play good in big games then he has already shown better and we expect at least an average performance against Atletico. Ok, it's fair, everybody gonna have a bad game here and there, but he really did nothing right.

There’s this feeling of indecisiveness in front of goal that I find to be his most annoying weakness for me personally, maybe it’s a winger habit to hesitate, feint and draw fouls but with his physical profile I find it to be visually irritating at times but not all the time. I can’t see him leading a front line unless he goes through some kind of metamorphosis in the way he plays or executes his game, yet I feel that would be detrimental because of his supporting striker ability. Maybe he’ll be a later bloomer with enough experience as a striker? One can hope. He just needs to learn in his role over time, however limited that may be.

Most of our players did. Our players need a hard look into the mirror, but especially Lautaro, Thuram and Pavard. Some players play too much and it shows (Mkhitaryan). Some players were playing in positions they don't prefer (Acerbi and Darmian on the left), so not being good was expected, but the three I specifically mentioned did play in their positions and looked like they had butterflies in the stomach for the whole time they were on the pitch. Lautaro's miss proves with. If he shot a weak penalty he could maybe fool the goalkeeper, but shooting like that..
