People who are saying they would have rather been slaughtered by 5 goals than lose a tight match are madmen.

Losing hurts but it came down to who could take their chances and it wasn’t us. Not because we were awed by their class. Hopefully we can keep the core of the squad intact and use this as a stepping stone to raise our level of play
Entirely disagree I’m sorry. Do you know crazy this is? They were crumbling under pressure. This was a scenario nobody imagined and we couldn’t capitalize. Would have most definitely rather lost 3-0. Oh wellA1F9FA4E-CB49-4F59-952F-CCFE6E69715C.jpeg

Tbh I get the point you're trying to make here. Losing when we had a good chance to win is more painful than just losing outright. I don't know how I feel about that yet, I think I agree, but I absolutely get your point.

Struggled to get up this morning, still can't believe it. The only "positive" thing is that even if we would score (at least) the 1-1 city would have a chance to win it. When i saw Dambrosio and Bellanova coming in and saw our back 3, i was thinking that we have no chance. Our only hope was maybe to score the 1-1 in some way and then get it to the penaltys. But defending for the rest of the game with Dambro and DiMarco in the back.. difficult. They have better players on the bench that could have changed the game in the extra time.
Lautaro should have scored or just pass to Brozo that was coming. He was the player i expected to do something and finally confirming what he is becoming in the last months, a world class striker. Instead it was the Lautaro that we all know, inconsisent, not good enough to be considered one of the best strikers, like Milito was, like for example Haaland is. Yeah Haaland was also bad, but he did not have much space against our defenders.

Somehow i feel that we could try it again in the next year. Appart from the stupid mistakes in front of the goals, we showed to can fight everyone. It also depends on what mercato we are planning to do now. Are we going for a world class striker, a good defender, decent bench players to replace players like Gagliardini and Dambrosio? Or are we getting players like Ratatoui (Retegui) and hoping that they will become worldclass? Get the fcking money out, i want to see something from here to September. If were not planning to improving than there was no sense going to this final. And it will be even sadder then it already is, because we will never have again a chance in the next 10-20 years.

I think we were the better team. I really do. Which makes it even harder... But it is what it is.

För sure it's gonna suck couple of days more, than it will be better, for us the fans and the players too.

I think, and this is just my personal opinion - City were way more prepared for Lukaku than Dzeko. And in all honesty Lukaku is not the type of player you have in a match where you don't care about possession, and you play a very Italian catenaccio type of football. The dude needs to get touchy feely with the ball and couple of chances, so he gets his engine going.

I don't have the words to explain the level of security or whatever it was while Dzeko was on, it was like City were on this stupid alert mode all the time and couldn't really be comfortable to play their game and then after the Dzeko sub i don't know whether it was general fatigue or whatever, but they were more like "ah, now we can play the way pep told us" and add to this a shit ton amount of luck in that Rodri shot, and there you have it.

Lukakus missed chance hurts, not as much as Lautaros missed chance & not passing the ball to Lukaku.

I know shit happens and chances are missed from time to time, but you train your whole life to rip a new whole in the net in a finals game.

So much to say but they're just raw emotions at this point i don't have the words for it...

Also idk... Idk man...

Also fuck the ref.

Inter would likely have won if they didnt play 10 vs 11 with geriatric dzeko who was completely useless for 60 minutes and then that dumb donkey Lukaku with awful finishing and getting in the way of teammates. He has to be one the most unintelligent players of all time. Voodoo boy.

Either way, City should in hell.

Never have I ever expected that it will be an open game and that City would be beatable. Imho Inzaghi outclassed Pep yesterday in terms of tactics. It is unbelieveable that we were on par with our players against all their stars. For me our man of the match was DiMarco. For me he should even be the next captain here. What a player he became!

Only negative note: After yesterday's loss it is clear as day that we have to get new strikers. Lukaku (wtf was that yesterday) and old man Dzeko (can't even play 60 minutes anymore) have to go.

I think it's a pretty reasonable summary. Inzaghi does deserve a lot of credit for the defensive side, I think on an individual level we failed badly in midfield and on a coaches choice level I'm very disappointed in the selection of dzeko. Don't think that's an unreasonable or unbalanced view.

I also agree, striker recruitment will be key this summer.

You know what nobody’s mentioned to make things even worse: the ref was against us as well! He gave them all the 50/50’s it was a disgrace

Congrats to City.

Hard to find a more disgusting club in the world though. Bending rules, spending way above what they should be allowed and owners who openly support islamic terror.

Wouldnt cry a single tear if their plane crashed.

Too far man. Too far. That said, I do hope they pay for their cheating, get a 10 year ban from Europe and go back to being the irrelevant club they always were wothout the oil money.

*But then you remember how UEFA works, so they will likely be fine, as there's nothing their money can't buy.

I think we can all agree that this generation is one of better generations in Inter history. In last 3 years we won scudetto, two Coppa, Supercoppa, played in EL and Champions league final.
