Maicon will handle Ronaldo!

I doubt Maicon can handle Ronaldo defensively
I think we will have a hard time there
theres no doubt about Maicon's attacking but his defense ablility worries me

But Maicon and Ronaldo doesn't play the same wing? I don't think they'll face each other, unless ronaldo changes to the left

Ronaldo can play as a LW or RW and I think Sir. Alex used him more on the left in the past.

I doubt Cordoba will be ready for this match. Would have been nice to see him against Ronaldo.

This game together with the ones versus Arsenal, Valencia and Barcelona are just too good to miss.

I want to see our L'Imperatore again !

Man, I was thinking, we have so much options to play and with all formations we can make a very good line up.

4-4-2
4-1-2-1-2 (just 4-4-2 with diamond midfield)
4-3-3
4-3-1-2
4-3-2-1
4-5-1

That are I think the most realistic, maybe except the last one.

Unless its a finale of Coppa d'Italia and we need to score 4 goals :(

This match is drawing nearer...and Im getting real excited!
I won't forget how Man U knocked us out towards there Champions league Trophy in `99...So this match means that much more!

Man U are apparantly going to take this match a tad more serious than an average friendly, as they are facing the "champions of Italy" and so have a point to prove.

Anyone else looking forward to this fascinating match-up?!

I'm looking forward to every friendly against professional teams, especially I'm looking forward to how Mancini will deal with these matches, be serious, or take it to experiment a lot in players and/or formations.

Thomas has a very GOOD point. The formations that we can play are absolutely amazing. Depth in defense, depth in midfield in terms of players being able to play in any role really, and now depth in attack. We can go 5 at the back, 3 up front, 5 in the middle- a great tool to throw off opponents.

Yes,

We have so much players that can fit in different roles.

For example take Maxwell he can fit in every role on the left and maybe even on the right.

Or what about Capitano? Every defensive role and every flank role.

Further I was thinking about Rivas, Stankovic, Ibrahimovic, Maicon, and several more, we really do have good squad.

Credits to Mancini who plays different people in different roles and different formations.

I think versatility is one of the most important things for being a temporary European topclub.

I think you got your answer today.;) I always hate to lose but IMO, preseason should be used to try new shit out.

I agree that Mancio should experiment all he wants in the preseason,BUT as we get closer he should definately field the real team...

I dont want the first 3 or 4 games of the season to be the ones that get them running together again...I hope we field a good lineup for this one !

BTW the two new kids at ManU are really good and scary(especially under ferguson) along with Ronaldo,Tevez and Rooney they will be one hell of a force in the upcoming years. We are looking at a main contender therefore for the CL...
