Tronchetti now trying to get him to stay, they should just let it B if you ask me.

It was splendid having a champion like that here, he leaves having won everything in italy with us in just 2 seasons, superb. Will be hated on just like Veron, but the unbias people will alway see his worth.

His wife and daughter were at the empoli game, they both looked gorgeous (no pedo intentions)

sure.

Yeah I agree with you about letting Figo go. I admit he has been one of our most effective players these past 2 seasons, and definetly the best purchase Moratti has made in a looonngggg time. But at 34, it's better we leave him now while we think highly of him instead of getting to the point where we're like "we need to get rid of fuking figo that useless pile of shit". ;)

Replying to the umpteenth question about his future, a smiling Figo said: "It's the question of the moment... We will see... The important thing is to do well until the end of the season. I have made a difficult decision and I continue to think the same way - I have decided to leave top-level football.

STAY FIGO STAYYYYYYYY

We all want him to stay, and he's aware of it. But at some point you just have to let him go. If he has to answer these questions continously for more than a month it just becomes silly after all.

Let's be realistic. Figo won't be in our team photo next year. Anyway, I will welcome Figo back to Inter as a scout who specialises in finding youngsters in Portugal and Spain. :) Arriverdeci e grazie Luigino.

Who cares when he has a good relationship with Sporting Lisbona, his former club? Sporting should be the best club for training young wingers in Europe. It just seems it's their tradition and obligation to do so.

Statistics don't lie,

he has a lot of assists on his name! Especially when you look at how many matches he has played this season.

It's a pity that he leaves, but on the other side, the guy is getting older and conditional I don't think he can't keep up with the Serie A level.
Also his ability in everything will get less.

I say, leave this Champ alone and try to buy Quaresma! Same kind of player!

P.s. By the way, what means "Paso Doble"?

Figo will never do such a job...coaching may be ok..but never a scout

He has that star quality and not the background workman kind..

paso doble is a dance of sorts

usually either involving a matador (the male), and a cape (the female)

its more or less a metaphor for taking command of the situation or something like that

another clear message from the fans in todays training session:

Things could look a touch nasty in the summer as 2 of our most influential players (Figo and Crespo) will most probably leave! Branca & Co might have more work on their hands than they initially expected.

Figo ponders Inter U-turn Tuesday 15 May, 2007

Luis Figo has hinted that he may reconsider his future plans and extend his stay at Inter. “We will see what happens,” he noted.

The Portuguese star seemed set to quit the Nerazzurri after signing a contract with Arabian outfit Al-Ittihad, but he could now remain at the request of the fans and President Massimo Moratti.

“I cannot deny that I have enjoyed my time at Inter since the first day I arrived,” said the Portuguese hero.

“I found an incredible group of people here. I am only sorry that I didn’t join this outfit when I was younger,” added the winger, who moved to the San Siro from Real Madrid in 2005.

“It’s a difficult decision to leave this club and we will see what needs to be done. You never know what might happen. It is logical that I think I will leave, but in football things change very quickly.

“Moratti is trying to convince me to stay, he is a great person and I feel deep affection for him,” he continued.

“Nevertheless, at the end of the day the final decision will be mine and I have my own reasons to eventually opt for a move.”

The former Sporting Lisbon and Barcelona ace has admitted recently that this might be the right time for him to depart seeing as he is 34.

“Winning the Scudetto is the best possible way to conclude my career in top-level football,” he declared a few weeks ago.

i like him but if it rules out the possibility of signing mancini/quaresma/other youth skilled player, it's time for him to leave..

hes old, yes

but he can still give so much!

yes, we want a quaresma/cronaldo, what better way to help them adapt by having a portuguese legend support them while they get their lives in order when they move!

its not as if were gonna rely on figo the entire season

as seen in the latter half of the season, figo can still enter a game and have an immediate impact!

if anything, we soften the blow of losing miha and maybe recoba at FKs in 2 consec yrs
